For sure. To make matters worse, after my MRI, I had to track down the dr like a baby momma after Tyrone for child support. I finally got scheduled after 6 months of being laid up, sacking on weight etc. I get the surgery, it feels worse, physical therapy feeling like I went 12 rounds. Personally I think it's all bs. " we cleaned out the joint" wtf does that mean.

I brole my meniscus. My recollection was it was about 10 days of pain. and the only thing that helped was MJ. if your in cali you can get a perscription. I think it was 6 weeks and the doctor gave me permission so I would go to the gym and go on the bicycle and do sets of 10 reps. That broke up the scar tissue. took a few weeks to be able to go 10 minutes.

I've had my ACL reconstructed twice and a few arthroscopic clean outs which is what it sounds like you had. I never used much pain meds, just a day or two of vicodin and then mostly advil. I could ramble on about what it means to "clean out the joint", but you really should become familiar with what the doctor said was going on in your knee. Damage and what kind of correction you have done now will have a profound effect on how you're able to move around when you get older.

Get a bone graft, a titanium plate, and six screws put in your knee.

That'll make a man out of ya.

I never have had that, but my girlfriend tore her meniscus badly skiing about a year ago. While in there fixing that they also cleaned up some loose cartilage. She said she had pain for about 2-3 weeks after the surgery then general soreness for about two months after that. She said it was actually about 5-6 months until she felt "normal" again.

I've had the same on both knees. One took about 2 years to recover fully, the other took about 4 years. No more ice hockey for me - ever. :Oh crap

Repeat surgery often. You've been fukt by your doctor.
Seriously, one you start its a repeat process.
