Why does Fedex suck so much?

I ordered a few solar panels from a company in Cali, whom ships via Fedex. Everything else I've ordered, it was delivered via US post office or UPS. Both of which provided "working" & "updated" tracking numbers.

Meanwhile Fedex on the other hand hasn't bothered to update the tracking numbers since the day they received the packages. As far as tracking goes they have been sitting in Bloomington, Cali since the 23rd meanwhile have an estimated delivery date of today.

Seems every-time I get a package via Fedex there is some sort of problem along the way.. How the hell do they stay in business if they can't even provide a basic working tracking number..

Not my experience at all.

Heh my last Fedex experience..

https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=826700

I moved half way across the US going vertical and still have problems with Fedex. Perhaps their service just sucks for those of us on the East Coast..

UPS on the other hand I've rarely ever had any issues and then it's really only that they were late in the day, but always have working tracking numbers and actually show up the day it says it will.

Minte 04-29-2013 06:46 AM

Mine either. FEDEX has been excellent in our area.
Now UPS,that's a different story.

Rochard 04-29-2013 06:46 AM

I've never had any problems with USPS, FedEx, or UPS.... And we have stuff delivered here all the time.

pornguy 04-29-2013 06:46 AM

I have used FEDEx on the east coast many times and never had an issue. Maybe that dont like you? just kidding.

I do tend to stick to UPS even though they usually cost a little more.

DHL are the best imo, but they maybe only do international?

Tom_PM 04-29-2013 06:58 AM

It definitely varies by your local area and drivers. Picked up on the 23rd and no update since, with delivery due today is definitely not good anyway. That's a paddlin'

Yea trust me I'm not happy with it. The packages are big, so I can't just leave and let them drop them off out side. However thanks to no fucking tracking updates, I have no clue if they are even on a truck to be delivered today.

This is the exact same shit that happened the last time I used Fedex.. The shipment was 3 days late with no updates to tracking and they held it at a Fedex place that was an hour away instead of the one that was 10 mins from my place at the time.

I will never use them by choice again.. This is just far too many fuck ups and this is a completely different region than my deliveries in the past. Meaning it's not just a "local" issue.

MaDalton 04-29-2013 08:09 AM

sending to all over the world from here with Fedex with no issues since years

crockett 04-29-2013 08:43 AM

So I call them to see what's up.. These guys are worse than a fucking cable company. The next scan it's supposed to have is in CT. I'm in MA.

I ask, "well if it hasn't been scanned in CT then it's very unlikely it will be on a truck to be delivered to my house today right?" She's like umm well it could be there or it might not, they don't always scan them. (!@#$ no shit it appears)

Then she goes on to tell me.. "The estimated delivery is showing today, but the committed delivery is by tomorrow. So it might get there today or maybe tomorrow."

This is literally the convo I just had with them.. Thanks, for narrowing it down for me to "maybe" in the next two days at some point possibly!

Fedex, giving quality service almost as good as a drunk web designer or rogue programmer!

Their new company motto.. Possibly, maybe someday!

Fed Ex guy hit Candy's dog and broke her hip. Neighbor said he seen it and looked like it was not an accident...

Lilly "her dog" is doing much better now, but don't think she will ever recover :(

they are the worst of the top 3 for me too, especially with their bullshit on-trac bullshit that utilizes 2 carriers so when you call fedex for tracking info they can blow off responsibility to the 2nd carrier. they also are the worst at holding shit in storage until the last possible second it's supposed to be delivered. i've seen shit sit in fedex storage for 5 days. fuck that. ups now is trying to get shit out of their system asap, regardless of the delivery time paid for.

ups and usps realize they are not in the storage businesss, they are in the delivery business, fedex needs to realize the same.

i have a lot of problems with them. they also delivered a package to me after 11pm :helpme :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

It seems to depend on where you are I guess. FedEx and DHL are great here fast and no problems, and when I order from the US, USPS gets it to the border nice and quick. UPS messes it up every time for me.

Although we saw the FedEx driver here hotboxing the back of his van a few weeks ago :1orglaugh

crockett 04-30-2013 06:59 AM

Still no Fedex at my door.. good thing I decided not to wait around all day yesterday, because they finally updated the tracking and the package didn't make it to CT until 6pm yesterday..

So much for that "estimated delivery date"

It's on the truck to be delivered today.. I'm betting anything it will show up sometime during the 1 hour that I have to be somewhere else..
