Star Trek Next Gen on Netflix...

I started watching this series from the beginning over two months ago - I am at episode #168 and there are only 177 shows - I'm getting myself ready for the new Star Trek movie coming out early May - there was quite a bit I learned about the series by watching them from the start like this - like, I am attracted to chesty Greek Goddess looking women with hips and pouty lips - lol. and the whole Q thing - I did watch the original series before this one, but I watched those as a kid. "Make it So, Energize!, and Tea, Earl Grey, hot." are stuck inside me now :upsidedow

Only 177 shows? That seems like quite a few to me!

:)

You're right, it's just getting close to the end I guess - it seemed like not that many after watching 168 i guess in those terms..

I still hate how they killed Data in the last Star Trek Nemesis. That was some fucking bullshit.

I saw the new Star Trek last week. It was very good. A lot of throwback to the original movies and some great surprises. Actually liked it better than the last one :)

Not to "warm me up" for the new movie, but I have been watching the DVD's of Voyager. I'd never watched it from start to finish.
7 episodes left!
{Oh my gosh...do they make it home??? :shivers in anticipation!!!:}
j/k

I used to watch it when it originally aired and tried watching it on Netflixx, but many of the episodes I watched are just terrible. Cheap video effects, dull pasty colors, even duller acting, bad stories, and of course, Wesley saving the ship again and again. There were some good episodes but most were blah.

Voyager had some good episodes too but what I really hated was the technospeak. Instead of some "real" science of TOS and TNG, Voyager's technical language was made up of combining 1 gadget or device with another gadget or device to make something neither was designed to do in order progress the story. It's as if they fired their science (fiction) advisor and just made shit up. Their writers should had an easy time thats for sure.

The best of all the non-tos Trek's was Enterprise. Good writing, good fx, sharp direction & editing and good acting (Scott Bakula made a surprisingly good captain). The "science" in the science fiction stories were the strongest of all of the Treks too. Best episode: "In a mirror, Darkly", is a sequel to the TOS's "Tholian Web". WOW, just wow.

And of course, there was T'Pol:

Tooo bad thats a photochop

When Enterprise first aired on television, I had no local station that was running it. So I've never even seen the entire series. That's why for me it was the worst series.

I do remember the photochops of trek women though. There was another one of so-called Marina Sirtis sitting in a hottub in black and white as I recall.
