Did you stay at the Hard Rock Hotel during Xbiz in January? If so, check your Bill. You might have been overcharged.

When I booked, I booked 1 room via the xbiz link, and then later called them to add a second room, and then later I upgraded the room. But even though both rooms were for the show, the second room wasn't considered a part of the xbiz group even though I told them it was at the time. "Are you coming to Hard Rock for any trade show?". "Yes - Xbiz!" I said. "Wonderful", he said.

It was hard to notice because the Hard Rock did a crazy weird job on their invoices. A part of the charge was done to 1 room, and the rest of the charge was done to the other room. Only once we had both invoices in our hands did we notice the error.

O called Hard Rock and they agreed that I paid too much and today I received a refund of $980.31 to my Amex. Woohoo!

I might be high but it seems like 4 months is a long time to get your invoice from a January hotel stay.

With AMEX, that's not too long to get something straightened out. ;-)

That place went down the tubes. The rooms were kind of dirty and run down. Next year I'm staying somewhere else.

I got the invoice right away, but just left it in the pile until a couple of weeks ago. Just got the refund on today's amex bill.

This happened to me 3 years ago when I stayed at Harrahs. I went there because I got a weeks worth or rooms for nothing and also upgraded to a big suite because I went to AC a lot at Harrahs properties. I should have been only charged just over $200 and noticed they billed me for over $800.

Very similar thing happened at the motel 6 just off the strip...and then a little further down the street...found they double billed me for my trip all sorted out and got $29.95 + taxes and fees back...on my my prepaid visa.:2 cents:
