I bought a speaker on ebay, trying to replace 4 speakers in a low end Marshal guitar speaker cabinet, the picture in the auction was of 4 speakers, fine print in the auction said auction was for a single speaker, photo not withstanding.

Anyway, as soon as I hit "buy it now" I realized my mistake and asked the seller to please cancel and not ship, to which he replied "I spoke to my ebay rep and its your problem now bla bla bla" whatever.

As it turns our, the price I paid was not bad, though it was retail for a new unit, and this was a used one. Anyway, when the speaker arrived, I noticed the seller had packed the item in "Babies R us" bags and it occured to me that he was selling his precious guitar speakers for money for his new baby, and I wonder whether I should give him the negative feedback he deserves. (because of the baby)

Thoughts?

For the record, in case it matters, he was selling made in England G12H speakers for 150 shipping included (retail at musiciansfriend.com, but you usually get a chinese one)

The speaker sounds great and I love, love, love it but I still don't approve of his bullshit photo of 4 speakers.

I didn't read the whole post but just caught the word Ebay, bunch of fucking cunts. Signed up to try and sell a Rosetta Stone Spanish course, sent them copies of my UK driving licence, passport, utility bill, fucking receipt for the product I bought, still not good enough. I've come to the conclusion that we are all slaves to GOOGLE, FACEBOOK, EBAY, PAYPAL, nothing else matters, they control your life and they are cunts.

If he deserves negative feedback, like you said, give him negative feedback. Whether he has a kid or not shouldn't excuse trying to mislead people into paying for something by mistake.

OTOH, if the text explaining it was just one speaker was clear, and not concealed in a wall of text, then he probably doesn't deserve negative feedback, despite being unhelpful when you asked if he'd cancel it.

Would you bid on one of the one wheel nut auctions where someone is breaking a car and clearly selling parts and moan when you didn't get the whole car in the photo too? Your fault for not reading properly.
