Mayweather wins another one

Was hoping to see Guerrero pull it out... oh well.

MainstreamGuy 05-04-2013 10:00 PM

He has a very hard time to win by K.O. lately.

He's old and only fighting "NOBODYS" to keep his 0 losses...

He should get a real challenge.

Is he ducking anyone besides Manny or aside from those two everyone is a bum?

Boring fight.

Relentless 05-05-2013 07:25 AM

MMA has gutted boxing talent. Many of the guys who might have been quality boxers have gone into MMA instead.
Mayweather is the best of his era, but not as good as guys like Hagler, Whitaker, Leonard, Chavez, etc...
His competition is much more shallow than boxing used to be.

In the future if you want to be a nice guy it's better to put something general in the subject like the name of the fight rather than to put who won. Many people haven't seen the fight yet and will see the spoiler in the subject where it's an unavoidable spoiler. If it's something general then they at least have the opportunity not to click the subject.

I was looking forward to watching the replay this afternoon as I haven't seen it but now I'm not sure that I will. :1orglaugh

Paid for the fight and had to tape it, but made the same mistake you did of assuming a basic level of courtesy. Might as well have lit that money on fire.

Five minutes after the fight, the front page of Yahoo said, "Mayweather Still Undefeated". Might want to drop them a note, too. My bad.

PornoStar69 05-05-2013 07:02 PM

Mayweather broke his hand

That's one thing, people would go looking for it.

No one is coming here to do that. Only an asshole would do what you did, and you're a fucking asshole.

Mayweather talks to much, he's such a showman out of the ring but so boring in it. :2 cents:

I don't know. Lots of MMA fighters are terrible boxers. Even Anderson Silva was horrible as a boxer.

I doubt that. Boxing tends to pay FAR better than MMA. The UFC is the main and almost the only game in town. It's basically either you fight for the UFC or you're probably not going to make $100,000 a year. Even some of the guys making it to the main card in the UFC only make $15k for one fight (though there may be some bonuses).

Some comparisons on estimated net worth:

Floyd Mayweather: $300 million
Anderson Silva (ufc): $10 million
Georges St-Pierre (ufc): $7 million
BJ Penn (ufc): $20 million (much of this is from family money and other businesses)
Manny Pacquiao: $85 million

Mayweather is one rich motherfucker. He's earned his money too!

I have seen the promotional deals of a fighter. Anderson Silva makes that a year at least and has for years. He is worth more.

Here is what I found about what he makes:

http://www.celebritynetworth.com/ric...lva-net-worth/
http://celebnetworth.org/anderson-si...t-worth-salary (info from last year)

This one says $8 million:
http://www.getnetworth.com/anderson-silva-net-worth/

This one says $7.2 million:
http://www.richbutbroke.com/418/Ande...ilva-Net-Worth

So it looks like this is where the consensus is. Few know what he really makes other than him, his family, his accountant, and the UFC.
