thats my lollipop basket by the way. needs replenishing. anyhow DR is DR, it treats everyone that has money with priveledge like most places, but amplified exponentially. currently getting almost 42 pesos to the dollar, it was 37 when I first came here with little inflation. the downside is you get shaken down often for next to nothing (basically, just because its your turn) and you learn to live with this. would I advise moving here? fuck no. many expats here have taken flight to venezuela and i hear thats the holy grail
