Big Thanks To CrakRevenue & Their Blog
I started one Tumblr blog for one website of mine that I use to promote different sponsors within the same niche. The tips and directions given by CrakRevenue and their blog have increased my traffic, and decreased the time to obtain that traffic, dramatically from other site launches I've done in the past. It's increased my revenue, and the time period that I expected to earn revenue has been cut by at least half.
I now launch all of my sites in this manner, and have of course created my own techniques to use in conjunction with the advice you provided. Thank you! |
Good job!

Nice, I hope they continue with their webmaster knowledge series.

To answer your question, I'm currently posting at a rate of 1 post per hour. This may sound like a lot (or not), but I conducted research on my Tumblr competitors and some of them post at a rate of every 30 minutes or less. In order to stay competitive and continue to receive traffic, I have to stay within the realm of the other blog posting frequencies. After all, I don't just want some traffic, I want to compete for all the traffic. Of course, another factor is, we're all late to the party. We have to research and scrutinize every post we make, frequency, keywords, and so on. If we don't, we'll likely never catch up and simply pick up the scraps of traffic the big guys have left us. |
their blog and marketing material is very educational...

To auto post: settings> your blog settings > Queue You will find options for posting queued posts that include how many times per day and at what times. It's similar to wordpress. |

Tumblr did a big sweep over the last few days and removed a shit load of porn blogs, just be careful.

Can we post softcore on Tumblr and redirect to our porn and be safe?

I meant adding a softcore picture of the set, and send them to a gallery or blog post for the nude/hardcore pictures

Can you still add links to images? I just signed up today and i can only edit the caption for images. Following CrakRevenues guide where i should be able to add the link, there's only a caption for me.
|
Way to go :thumbsup
Nice work, that's lightning indeed! |

I just wanted to post a screenshot but i can't link to other sites untill another 20 posts. In the top right corner next to the X i only have an icon to set caption, and it doesnt accept html code either. Very strange.

Just a quick thought, if you're reblogging I don't believe you have the option of a click-through link addition - just in case that's what you've been doing. |

This is not from reblogs. I think tumblr has some anti spam protection going for new users. It also took a good time before my posts showed up via the tags/search. |

Hey Failed.
Thanks for your very informative blog entry on CrakRevenue's blog and for the information you've provided here. How have things been since you wrote this? I also have a question about posting your own links. How often do you link to your own site? I notice some tumblrs will do it with every post... and then there are others where you have to really sift through a ton of posts before you see a link to their site. So that confuses me a lot. Also, to be able to post "every 30 minutes" most of that is gonna hafta be reblogging, right? Because it takes time to find content, edit it, and then upload it. Much quicker to reblog other people's stuff. I notice most don't really write all that much text either. The ones who are doing the "every 30 minutes" aren't anyway. I'm trying to write a good paragraph of text each time. Any tips would be appreciated if you're still following this. |
Can't wait for your step by step tutorial!
Newbies to pros can benefit from that. |
Very nice, good job !

Had been a long interview process, so wish he had said something. But it what it is. I have no reason to think any of what he said isent true and he was an awesome guy to work with i only wish him the best. But i am surprised to hear you have talked to him only 2 weeks ago. |

What's your take on post frequency on tumblr and how many words per post? Most of this stuff I'm following has almost zero text. But they are updating very frequently. Is frequency more important to having a paragraph of text in your mind? And what about sharing funny posts as the Crak guys recommend? I don't see a whole lot of that either. I've gotten no visits yet after about a week and a half. |
