My gun nut buddy just bought a Mazda... It's a turbo charged Mazda.

It's a Mazda 3, 260hp, blah blah blah... All I see is a four door station wagon.

it's a bit too much on the front end but mazda's are a blast, i like them more than toyota.

I see this car as a four door station wagon with the same 0-60 time as my four wheel drive, which has got to be twice as heavy. He's all bragging about how it's "too fast for his wife to handle" and I'm just not seeing it.

The article that I read about this car says it's a 2.3-liter turbocharged intercooled four-cylinder that does 0-60 in 6.5 seconds. My wife's SUV is a six cylinder, most likely weighs twice as much, and does 0-60 in 7.5 seconds.

It's surely not about who's car is faster; I no longer drive sports cars. It's just that he thinks his car is super fast and super sexy and all I'm seeing is a four door station wagon with a little engine.

I get the same thing. It looks like a really hot minivan. In other words an oxymoron. I get the same thing when I see the Chrysler 300 wagon. Looks like someone jacked mom's car is trying to look cool.

not the same year, but I figured close enough...

0-60 in 5.1s is pretty damn fast, but if it is actually more like 6.5s like stated in your article, then you are right it's not THAT impressive...

I love my cx5, mostly because it gets almost hybrid gas mileage numbers.

Nice looking car, and Mazda's are fun to drive.

Without investigating past the OP, it is probably pretty fast.

Don't think it would work for us personally though.

"fast" is not all about 0-60 times, unless you are 17 years old or direct a movie, where a fullsize suv can outrun a BMW m5

Its a station wagon with a turbo 4. Its quick for what it is, its not fast. Women dont know cars, her opinion is invalid.

this is very serious sports car.It seems like most of you guys don't understand that sports car doesn't mean just going up to some speed but also being able to break good and get into corners fast. I don't personally like 5 door cars, but this is very good and serious machine.
