Where to get traffic for tourism sites? etc
Just asking because i now run a tour operator and just launched the website a few days ago. Apart from tour-packages it also includes information and descriptions about the travel destinations i offer.
Link building seems to take ages as well, don't really have any clue on which mainstream directories out there to submit to. So far its just the usual manual comment adding to travel-blogs and forums. Anyone else here into this?:upsidedow |
find some good keyword with low competition and try to get higher in google for this keyword. there are people who can rank the site for 50 bucks/month for specified keyword.
all the best. |

The most expensive traffic is insurance and travel as far as keywords. I would suggest targeting the location your advertising from rather than your destinations.
Target your local market as this will likely bring you the customers you need rather than try buy your way up any engine lists. Submit to as many locations as you can targeting areas your covering and selling to and from. Find luggage shops in those areas buy their space ask people for advertising that don't even offer it you may be surprised. Eg find a page in engines that you want and ask for an add on that page. Buy as many keyword domains that cover that industry and point them towards the brand your marketing linking to one another at same time. A lot will rely on the name some domains that don't quite sound that good will get more traffic than the ones that do sound the part all because it is all about what people type. Eg: type tube thinking your going to see all tube sites and your results will have cylinder tubes so you tag on second or third word afterwards so an at first average sounding domain suddenly ranks well. |
