"FBI: Drug Cartels Use Bank of America to Launder Money"

i could go on with links.. but i think we all get the idea

Banks are the biggest crooks of all yet they want to punish legal sex workers? I thought those days were over. :disgust

WetandPuffy 05-17-2013 09:28 PM

What a bloody joke

Rochard 05-17-2013 09:57 PM

Fucking classic:

The issue seems to be reaching a boiling point, though. Earlier this week, Marc Greenberg, founder of the soft porn studio MRG Entertainment, filed suit against JPMorgan Chase in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging the bank violated fair lending laws and its own policy for refusing to underwrite a loan for "moral reasons".
Moral reasons? Yeah, banker guy, you got us there....

bronco67 05-17-2013 10:00 PM

Banks have a lot of nerve trying to stand on some kind of moral high ground, considering all of the scummy shit they're responsible for collectively.

Stupid senseless and hypocrite morality.

Kelli58 05-17-2013 10:37 PM

Sadly this has been how they have treated the adult industry for years. If you are willing to keep your mouth shut and use a non porn sounding name they will play ball but if you dare let it be known who you are, that's it. Your account is closed without a second thought.

They have no problem hooking up drug dealers but porn people? Never!

Moral reasons?

What about giving mortgage to any monkeys and then ask for bailout? Banks are funny sometime...

purecane 05-18-2013 06:13 AM

Don't forget guys, just because some idiot wrote an article on the "official stance" of these banks, if jonny porn star shows up wanting to deposit a million or two they are gonna accept it......

Fat Panda 05-18-2013 06:19 AM

I hate and despise banks as much as anyone...but after reading the article I came away skeptical of the facts.

We've always been very open and blatant about the nature of our company with our bank...and have never had a single problem dealing with them.

Granted - that's our anecdotal experience over the years. But I'm skeptical that a bank would not do business with porn people based on moral judgments. Business is business...why should the bank give a rat's ass about the money source as long as its legal.

iv@n 05-18-2013 06:23 AM

Because churchs have big accounts there and may change bank if learning from the press their bank is the porn bank.

Colmike9 05-18-2013 09:55 AM

My bankers are all women and know what I do. They think it's funny. :upsidedow

freecartoonporn 05-18-2013 10:11 AM

at the end of the day, its pure business, they dont want it, some other bank will surely allow it.

you're Canadian, Canada doesn't have the hangups the US has about sex, doesn't have anything close to the Religious Right as a political force.

I know for a fact they do it - because I got Woj's bank account shut down. I paid woj for a programming job through Paypal using an address that is affiliated with my adult business. Not long after I paid him he got a letter from his bank they were closing his account.

I'm in the USA, but I think my bank doesn't care since they don't allow people talking about religion or politics..

pimpmaster9000 05-18-2013 12:06 PM

ah the banking establishments ivory tower...what a laugh...

adultmobile 05-18-2013 06:24 PM

Ah and by the way who thinks The Netherlands it is so better than USA when it comes to banks toleratingt sex business, this is a false legend. The ING Bank used to process for lots of cam sites including livejasmin and ours (and lots of scat and bestiality sites until it was legal in NL, honestly... but this was made illegal in NL too later), then few years ago they said porn is bad and we had to move account to ABN Amro bank. There was even a lawsuit against ING for discrimination but nothing, we all had to switch bank.
Don't understimate the churchs power, even in Amsterdam.
