What is the best gallery plugin for Wordpress?
 

What is the best gallery plugin for Wordpress these days? Easy to use, loads fast when you have hundreds of pics per gallery.

I was hoping for something a little better; I've used them before. Has it improved in the last year or so?

I like nggallery and use it on my first adult blog. It's pretty simple to setup and use. One of the annoying bits however is that it can make pages a load a tad slower.

Which is a reason I stopped using it.

I think that script is the script that changes your WordPress admin completely, and gives permission to the script owners to access your server right?..

If that's the script I used a few years ago, I stopped using it, because I hated that they chanegd the wp-admin completely and gave access to others to my server. I hate those kind of scripts...

next gen gallery. Or the built in one if you're crafty and want to do really amazing things with it

I am using ngg on a couple sites; looking for something better; I am not a hacker/programmer

nextgen is the one I use. its not great but not terrible. price is right. But I would love to find something better as well.

I find that Nextgen seems to be the most popular.

I tried out a few and nextgen was the best of them.. I'd like to know if there's something better out there too..

We looked at Jetpack, but wasn't impressed when testing

well, it all depends on what you need, but ngg is probably the best as an all purpose gallery plugin

The built in one good, Also take a look at Lightbox. It is pretty cool as well.

built in works fine now... just need to customize it (and theme) well..

Fuck plugins. Just use the built in and live with it. Sorry for attitude but theme and plugins cost me a good months worth of work because I had to nuke them and start all over. Just go with twentytwelve and learn how to modify the fucker. Check out my sig. Not the most stunning but not to shabby either, Especially for first modification try. Add plugins only if absolutely, positively necessarily. Cause yooooooooul be soooooooory. I have a template plugin and a vid, dat's it.

My galleries can have 10 to 1,000 pics; not sure how I can use the built in one without having to create a new page for say every 50 thumbs with the built in one

If you has to, ye has to, just take my advice and try not to. If you do, do a test run for a while before you get to dependent on it. That way if it fucks up the server you're not to deep into it to yank the pos.

hit the first pic hold shift scroll down hit the last pic. hit start and do something else till it finishes 1,000 will take a while.
