the real reason health ins is so expensive

they're fucking morons.... Aetna just sent my premium back saying they had no records of my account and asked me to prove who I am... been sending a check to the same address from the same account, the same account number for years...

and the other reason the people that process the claims on the DR's end are dumb fucks as well... I was in the hospital march 2012 and I still get DR's offices calling me, trying to get me to pay the bill with out going through my ins... so I say go thought my health ins and they will pay, I will pay the balance... 'who is your health ins?' ... 'I gave you all that info at the time of the visit'...

then compound that, for instance, i have 6 separate bills from my last trip to the er. that's 6 clusterfucks.

oh i hear ya, i didn't want to go add those up but i have a special file folder just for my surgery a couple years ago, being diabetic requiring a specialized surgery requires all kinds of *specialists, consults, and lab work.

It should be single payer. For-profit health insurance companies need to be removed from the equation, period.

Raise the unemployment rate by about 6%.

I spent a week in the hospital about a year and a half ago. I must have gotten 6-8 different bills from different people. It was impossible to keep all these people straight.

the entire thing is a racket.
In canada there is so much fraud...imagine you get $55 per visit and everybody has insurance and you bill the governent...lol
you thought the guys banging credit cards were bad...

I know my dr is not a scammer...I looked it up he billed $88k last year...some of them billed $2.2 million.

JP-pornshooter 05-22-2013 04:56 PM

in America, when you go see a doctor or to the ER, the first person you meet is not the nurse, instead it is the billing clerk.. you might be bleeding but if ya' cant prove your insurance will cover - oh well.
IF you get admitted for any kind of surgery, you will get bills over the next 2-3 years from all kind of half hoaxed entities saying your insurance didnt cover this or that or that your insurance only covered part of the amount, now is up to you to negotiate with these blood sucking bastards to settle the bill OR they send you to collection which will FUCK your credit rating and generally speaking make your life slightly more miserable.
