NextGen Question - Can this be done?

Using NextGen gallery maker, the thing I don't like about it is that whenever you go to a different page, the text follows.

Example:

Page 1: http://craftbeerguy.com/american-craft-beer-week-day-7/
Page 2: http://craftbeerguy.com/american-cra...y-7/?nggpage=2

Is there a way to make it so that page 2 just loads the photos without the text?

No. The gallery is embedded in the blog page, so when you go to page 2 of the gallery, the blog page doesn't actually change.

So, no hack anyone has done successfully? Anyone know of a plugin that does what I am seeking?

in fact yes, but you would need to edit the code to make it load via AJAX inside a div

although I'm not sure why you won't want a different page URL since it's the usual, logical and correct UX behavior, why don't you use a slider? Something like Galleria has thumbs for navigation and everything is kept in the same page, no URL changes

All I am trying to do is make subsequent pages be images only. I don't think I need to repeat the same text over multiple pages.

I'll take a look at Galleria; how is it going to work when I have 500-1000 pics in a gallery?

hmmmm..... You won't have problems with Galleria in that aspect, but I think it won't be the proper UX for such amount of pix since people will need to scroll a lot to see all pictures

Precisely my issue.

Yeah, I've looked into this before and have come up empty. There's always a way if you're a serious coder, but I'm using wordpress for a reason. I stick the text beneath the galleries and it doesn't bother me anymore, so there's my work around.

The option to have photos in a gallery appear on separate attachment pages is included in the basic wordpress gallery, There's probably a way to do that with gallery pages...

I would rather scroll down than click a link :2 cents:
