Do you go to buffet places like Souplantation?

Back when I lived in the states, my co-workers and relatives just LOOOOOOVED buffet places like souplantation, Todai, New Town, etc etc. But is it just me or are the dishes prepared in such a way that you feel FULL after one or two rounds?

I don't trust the economics of a buffet. And going to Todai instead of getting good sushi is sacrilege!

I hear ya, labeling the stuff at todai 'sushi' is stretching the boundaries of cognitive reasoning.

As for economics, I've always wondered how those hole-in-the-wall 'all you can eat' Chinese places stay in business. Volume?

I can't remember the last time I went to a buffet type of place. One place we used to take our kid years ago - Mountain Mikes Pizza - had a buffet. But outside of that, Not since I lived in Phoenix... And that was 2006.

I like a good salad bar but can't stand regular buffet food. The last time I was in South Florida there was a good salad bar place called Sweet Tomatoes that I'll definitely go to again...

I love going to Souplantation. Their chili and corn bread are so good.
