Affiliate Managers, what is their job?
 

I was wondering what is affiliate manager job? What are their tasks?

We are just launching network of dozen sites in shemale niche. We have probably all important shemale sponsors and once their sites are sorted by niche, I personally mailed programs asking for promo content separated by niche.

Not a single answer after few days(actually just one answering that they can't sort promo content like we asked) and not a single email bounced which means, they don't give a fuck for 100 domains blog network and promotion of their sites there. Crazy.

companies use to be hungry, they arent anymore, you cant just blame the tubes there are a bunch of other reasons.

going to the shows and conventions are good, you can spot the idiots right away. on the boards it isnt instantly apparent.

sometimes they are busy too, there is always internal issues as well.

One of the Pimproll affiliate managers I dealt with a couple years back was an utter moron

It's sad this is even a question, but it's legitimate based on the history of affiliate managers in this industry.

#1) Your Affiliate Manager should establish direct and concrete relationships with the top Review Sites and Free sites in this industry. If you can't find an affiliate manager who already has this you should look further.

#2) Affiliate Managers KNOW HOW TO GENERATE TRAFFIC & SALES. This is not 2005. If you are hiring someone to manage affiliates who has no idea how to generate traffic and sales leads, you need to rethink. Affiliate management is about supporting and GROWING sales, not attending shows and having perky tits.

#3) Your Affiliate Manager should be hungry. They should KNOW your product and know the downline of traffic generators that produce targeted traffic and income. This is about trend watching, market research and product knowledge. Require it.

#4) They should be overly attentive. It's their job. Let them focus on excellent affiliate service that is a must when you are competing for quality affiliates in this industry now.

#5) MOST IMPORTANT! Positive attitude! For every 1 valuable affiliate you have, you will get 1000 worthless ones. Your Affiliate Manager needs the personality to handle and prioritize the entire lot.

Summing this up with my thankfulness that we found Selena and she is a GOLDEN Affiliate Manager. Shew!
