i was going to chime in about "the americans" tele show on fx too, it is my fav show currently. i watched all 13 episodes from this 1st season and they are all well-done.

it has been picked up for a 2nd season as well. i am disappointed that fx chooses to only stream the last 3 episodes as i would be up for watching it from the beginning again.

Yeah, when I first heard of it I thought it might be boring or silly, but it's turned out to be one of my favs too, with great characters. Good to see 'Mags Bennett' from Justified in it too.

is she the old lady? she is fucking xcllnt. the scene with her getting even with the assasin was insane. i love the tension between her and elizabeth. i hope they bring her back, i was shocked to see the scene where they put that in question.

Well, OK... Now I am happy to be an American. For a while.

it will be good and getting better for a while, i think. we are wrapping up the wars, our addiction to foreign oil is waning, we will be the largest oil producer in the world in a few years. our manufacturing base is showing signs of growth.

Yep, "granny". If you haven't seen Justified you should check it out. Great show, and she was great in it, in Season 2, IIRC.

There are a lot of great characters in Justified. I like that guy too, Timothy Olyphant, but ironically I kinda find him to be the least interesting character in the show.

Boyd Crowder is probably the best long term character, played by the excellent Walton Goggins, who seems to be the go-to guy for filling racist redneck roles, like Shane in The Shield and his character in Django.

Not sure if you watched the video of the uk murder. The guy was born and raised in the uk and identified himself as a foreigner. Maybe they need sensitivity training. Muslims are the whipping boys of the day but clearly that is unfair based on sheer numbers.
