I love Spinner Chief - it comes with a free version, which is probably good enough if you don't have to do any heavy spins or need hundreds of advanced options. You can also use (buy?) thesaurus in gazillion of languages other than English.

I noticed the same recently. I hate that stuff too. Paypal must have changed something on their pay page.
Before you were able to pay as a guest without paypal account.
Paypal taking over.

Most of them use paydot.com which is PayPal-only.
