What's your opinion on Wis. Governor Scott Walker? He is spending a lot of time doing speeches around the US lately. I think he is going to run in 2016.

A sidebar on him. Last fall I was at a party at the Governors mansion and I did get to speak with him for a bit. I commented to him that I was curious if he was going to run in 2016..and his response was *I am damn glad to STILL be governor of Wis..* the recall election.

TheMaster 05-29-2013 07:06 AM

wow, Fox News must be offering the crazy lady a lot of money

Rochard 05-29-2013 07:09 AM

Bachman was fucking insane.... I'll miss her really.

ilnjscb 05-29-2013 07:12 AM

So sad about her husband - I don't say that to be mean. These characters do so much damage though. Already enough kids commit suicide to have people like this running around condemning them when they themselves share the same secret. Mr. Bachman, we all know. You still have a chance to live a fulfilled life.

Markul 05-29-2013 07:46 AM

Somehow I read that as 'Batman is done'.

Phew, glad he is ok.

onwebcam 05-29-2013 08:19 AM

She was one of the most annoying pieces of political trash their was. Now if only Nancy Pelosi could meet the same fate.

I originally thought it would be hard for the GOP to find someone worse than Sarah Palin.. They certainly managed to go way above my expectations with bat shit crazy Bachmann, now they just have to get rid of the lunatic boy wonder Paul Ryan and the other idiot Rand Paul..

I'm wondering what they come up with next. I mean can they step it up a notch and find someone worse, or will the insanity that has over taken the GOP finally get put back in it's closet, allowing some decent candidates to step forward that aren't out to destroy the country with ignorance.

Who gets to stick the fork in first? Rock, paper scissors for it.

That district is very Republican, so it won't likely go to a democrat. Bachman barely won her last election. As long the Republicans get a solid conservative to run, they'll win the seat easily.

Walker is for sale, like almost all other politicians. His 'views' on labor were paid for much the way you might buy carrots at a store. That makes him dangerous, but no more dangerous than other asshats in politics.

Bachman was not just for sale, she is batshit-crazy and I'm glad she is done. Crazy is more dangerous than for rent. :2 cents:

Aww thats too bad. I will really miss that dangerous batshit crazy lunatic bitch and all her STUPID ramblings. Hopefully, maybe, she will run for President again in 2016 and provide more groaners for anyone who ever made it past grade 3.

Bummer for the comedians though...

bronco67 05-30-2013 03:31 PM

I was just watching last night's Rachel Maddow, and she did a 15 minute piece on Bachmann. The overall gist of it was not just about her being crazy, but the indelible impression she's made on the Republican party by testing the waters for the party's acceptance of idiotic conspiracy and conjecture about the Obama administration being the devil basically. So it doesn't matter who comes after her, the edge has been pushed in the GOP and it'll be a lot easier for others to keep leading the party astray.

When she stood on the House floor and spouts her ridiculous bullshit, did any other Republicans tell her to give it a rest because she's making the GOP look like bigger assholes than we already appear to be?

Walker's political views are paid for by the social darwinist Koch brothers. Without their megabuck infusion to his recall campaign, he would have been trounced by a c-list Dem challenger.

I guess being the Obama mouthpiece network isn't cutting it.

His opponents ads and views were paid for by Soros and the unions..and they still got a solid ass beating.

People here in Wi realize that you can only spend more than you make for a short time. The state deficit was converted to a surplus. Our property tax rates did not go up this year. Our federal income tax rate did.

MaDalton 05-31-2013 04:23 AM

in my 41 years i witnessed a lot of horrible politicians - here in CZ they recently elected a president that a few weeks later almost passed out cause he was drunk as a skunk (somehow fitting for CZ though)

but after listening to a few of her ramblings i have zero understanding how anyone can take that dingbat seriously

That's too bad. MSNBC has delivered some great programming and I hope they continue. I don't understand why they replaced Ed Shultz with Chris Hayes though. Hayes is good but I find his show boring. Ed Shultz on the other hand was a smart "everyman" who in my opinion was a better communicator than Hayes is. Hopefully they can turn the numbers around.

But what you probably don't realize is the political education you could get by watching Maddow. I know that MSNBC is a liberal soapbox to counter FOX, but there's a difference in the people they have on the two networks. I watch MSNBC and FOX, because I want the opinions from both sides, and I can honestly say (objectively as possible) that the people on FOX would lose any argument with MSNBC's best people because they just don't come with facts. Sometimes I want to scream at the TV at some truth stretching the FOX news pundits are guilty of on a daily basis. It's hard to take that network seriously, and most of the time its good for a laugh.

If you watch an episode of Rachel Maddow, you're sure to know something that you didn't know before, regardless of your political viewpoint. Before she starts the first segment on her show, there's a long windup with some historical perspective to set up the yarn she's about to spin. It's pretty compelling sometimes, and there's just SO FUCKING MUCH bullshit that Republicans are trying to pull constantly that there's a constant supply of topics. She's not making it up because you can go look up almost anything she talks about and find that its 100% true. No conjecture or conspiracy bullshit which there's a ton of on FOX.

There's a huge difference between FOX and MSNBC. If you turn it to FOX at any given time, there's usually a group of bigoted retards crying about Obama or their "freedoms", and on MSNBC there's an actual intelligent political discussion going on between several smart people who know their stuff. Albeit, with a very liberal slant -- but I've seen more criticism of the left of MSNBC than I would ever see of the right on FOX. They're a bunch of robots programmed by Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes to spout any bullshit that their mouth-breathing audience will suck up.

Try watching one episode of Rachel Maddow if you haven't. No one thinks you'll change your political viewpoints, but I'll bet you'll find whatever she's talking about to be interesting.

Walker doesn't realize any of that (or care much about it). He understands where his money comes from... no more and no less. You are correct that his opposition is much the same, just with different benefactors.

Bachman was different... her views were not paid for and she wasn't just doing it to make money selling books. She actually believed the crap she spewed and was a danger to the public good beyond anything campaign financing or a moratorium on gerrymandering would fix.

Politicians have been bought since the beginning of time. I don't like it, but it is what it is... people like Joseph McCarthy or Bachman are worse than that, more dangerous than that and when any of them return to obscurity it is a good day for our country.:2 cents:

I would love to see a Palin / Bachman combo. They could tour the country as a comedy act.
