Taking the Asian Approach.. Suggestions?

:helpme So I am thinking about nicheing out my tube site. When I created it I did what many newbie webmasters do and just dove in head first without doing much research. So I dumped every video I could find by any good looking sponsor (all links included of course :p).. Long story short I have no focus on my site..

I have been doing some keyword research and found some good asian keyword and key phrases and learned some good seo techniques that would just be waaayyy easier if I had one focus on my site. My question is this, if I just get rid of my non asian posts are the not founds going to hurt me with google and the likes? Its a wordpress tube site, I'm using wpxtube (which I plan on upgrading to cyberseo anyway soon) and all the 404's display main page content.

Also, can anyone recommend any good asian sponsors? I am currently using fetish hits..

Thanks for your responses

It will probably hurt you with Google and be a huge pain the the ass to deal with all the redirects.

It's a better option to just start up a new niche tube.

As for Asian sponsors, Idolbucks is very good. They have a shitload of promo materials, good content and most importantly they always pay.

Balls.. What if I stop my feeds, except the asian ones, and just let them push the rest of the videos out, focusing my seo efforts strictly on the asian niche.. Slowly letting the other videos fade out. The site hasn't been up for too long so I don't have tons of videos yet.

I kind of want to keep this domain going, dont know why I just have a good feeling about it if I can get it right. I just think my current approach is way to broad for the resources I have at hand :/

If you are dead set on using the existing domain, you will need to plan out the transition and make changes slowly over time if you want to minimize the damage to your search engine rankings. If you are not already, you should be using the various Webmaster Tools offered by the search engines for better granularity during your transition. Personally, I would leave the videos on your server so that existing backlinks won't 404 and just remove any local mention or link to them (so no new links are created). Use redirects as a last resort, and make sure to use 301 rather than 302.

Good info, I appreciate it.. I am currently using the g.man webmaster tools and analytics as well as bing's. Those tools are kind of what led me to this course o action, as the magority of my SERPS are Asian related.. I guess I'm gonna plan on keeping my current videos and letting them fade into obscurity..

Thanks everyone who gave me some input, I appreciate it..

Now how about some more sponsors :).. I have found some through google, including the one that is listed in this thread, but unfortunately google doesn't say "Hey, this converts like shit!"..
