Can you name one GOOD, DECENT, PHENOMENAL young actor? They used to exist. These days it seems they use the same rehashed morons or they use older actors to play younger people. Am I right?

The problem is you don't see new talent because you aren't hip enough. (Kids these days don't use "hip", they use the term "fetch".) I'm not saying I am any better than you; I don't see any new talent either.

The problem is as you get older, you fail to see new talent for what it is. I don't think Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber have any talent at all, but the kids... They think they are both "fetch".

A big chunk of this is Hollywood has changed. They are rehashing Batman, Ironman, etc and using big name actors in everything. The fact that Stallone, Arnold and the rest can get jobs is pretty sad. In the old days they would be doing sit com appearances to keep the lights on, not mega summer hits.

But then the recent "date movies" are unknown to me as I don't watch high school stuff very often.

Emma Watson -limited stuff outside of Harry Potter, but she too shows great promise.

I think there are some very good actors on that list. Clearly you disagree. It is kind of subjective.

However, Jennifer Lawrence has been nominated twice for Oscars and won it once. Emma Stone has a golden globe nomination, and Evan Rachel Wood has two golden globe nominations.

Obviously awards aren't everything, but clearly I'm not the only one one that thinks they are off to a good start.

actors don't really get any notice until they're in their 30's for the most part anyway. You mentioned Pitt and Cruise.. would you have considered either of those talented 20 years ago? I don't even think i would...

I disagree, Cruise was the shit after 'Top Gun', and that was in 1986 - 27 years ago. He was 23 at the time, and had a slew of hit movies ever since.

A lot of the other young talented actors eventually became big time, but Cruise took off after 'Top Gun'. Bad example.

**Edit, Cruise's career took off after the movie 'TAPS' - I don't think he's had a movie that's bombed since that one.
