Day 1 of my juice lifestyle
I've taken the advice of many of the posters here and I've gone on an a juice and high-fiber diet/lifestyle. I'll post picture updates of my gut soon. I've lost 70 pounds when I became vegetarian 3 years ago but I can't seem to shake off the final 30 pounds I need to hit my 'ideal' BMI. Anyway, I am hoping this raw food/juice plus high-fiber with plant protein supplementation will get me there.

Read up on Ayurveda.
Juicing heavily promotes Vata and Kapha energies, which can be devastating for the body. Basically, eating or drinking a lot of raw fruits/vegetables could be pretty bad for you. |

Juicing as a lifestyle is pretty ridiculous. Eat a balanced, fresh and healthy diet is all it takes.

I tell ya, vegetarians, vegans, and especially raw vegans have some pretty crazy notions regarding healthy diet. Don't try telling them that though. Like religious fanatics, they will not listen to a word you say.
A balanced diet of lean protein (chicken breasts, turkey, and fish), complex carbs, sugars (from fruits), and fiber from vegetables works well for me. Don't over eat. That's the secret. Most people consume more calories per day than they burn, so they get fat. |

I ran 3 miles today Why did I start this thread? Why here? 1) Recruiting others to hold me accountable to my weight loss goal 2) A test of character building - setting a goal, setting sacrifices, taking action, pushing past limitations. 3) Gather negative vibes/hate which I can then challenge myself to transform into positive feedback. (I know this sounds weird but it produces results) 4) Taking responsibility and not blaming others or engaging in denial 5) I love challenging myself to become a better person. I know I am capable of being so much more that what I currently am in terms of health. I'll post pictures and updates periodically. |
