1984 is NOW here. We were alive at it's true begining.

Of course monitoring everything online and our phones has been going on for years and years without our consent, but now, let's get it right into the open and say "it's for our own protection against terrorism."

Yes, that evil "terrorism" that must be stopped at all costs.

This is the true birth of 1984 and Big Brother, and with all things, Americans will protest a little bit, and then will go on with their lives. In about 2 weeks a new headline will take the place of the old headlines and nobody will give a dam.

Remember gun control? LOL that was fun for a month. Don't worry, this new issue will pass also.

We are truly sheep and happy to graze in the field without a god dam care.

We get what we deserve. Nobody cares, so these psychopaths in office can do what ever they dam will please.

I'll tell my grandchildren one day about "privacy" and how we used to have it a long time ago. They will look at me with strange eyes and say, "how old are you grandpa?"

Long live the "Empire of the United States."

Rochard 06-07-2013 09:56 PM

Big brother has been here.

Some of us will stand on the highest mountain tops, beat our fists on our chests, and weep for our lack of liberty and freedoms. The majority of us will not loose any sleep, and will never know.

I could care less what they read and what they know about. At this point google knows how often I shit. M$ too.

SilentKnight 06-07-2013 10:08 PM

What are your plans to do something about it...besides lamenting it online?

noshit 06-07-2013 10:11 PM

It's beyond 1984.

Ignorant and happy? or awake and miserable?

I second Rochard.

I don't really care. My parents whine about this all the time and I feel like they're wasting all this time protesting what already is. Me? I'm working on enjoying life and enjoying some financial freedom!

"In the land of the blind, the man with one eye is king"

And deductive reasoning leads to the fact that the king of the world is in fact the devil, so one of his objectives is to keep us all blind, def, and dumb. So he has carefully chosen his henchmen like the rothschilds and rockefellers etc. to carry out his objectives against humanity to enslave as many of us as he can during the great tribulation and before the rapture. But just try to find peace knowing that the new world order will fail, and Jesus will save the righteous and cast the wicked into the lake of fire. Read Malachi 4 its the last book of the old testament. Also "let it not weigh on your heart." because in the grand scheme, justice will be done.

Great, so the government knows where I ate dinner last night. So does my bank. And?

My emails and text messages are all pretty lame. It would put them to sleep if they were forced to read them all.

although you are uninteresting you don't seem to realize that if corrupt persons in power have this kind of control that they will use it against those that might try to come to the defense of your freedoms or the freedoms of your children some day

its naive of you to think that someone evil wont come along and use this information against you for their own power.

History has shown time and time again that people will do absolutely anything for power and to hold on to it.

Believing in the idea of innocent until proven guilty, I don't think it's fair to be so hard on the "devil" since we haven't heard his side of the story yet. To my understanding, "god" has killed more people and destroyed more things.

Gordon Brown had one eye - No relevance really, just a little factoid...

I have never had the fear that some people have about 'Big Brother' knowing what I do - The same as RocHard - I don't (often) do anything I am ashamed of or even anything of interest to anyone that matters.....

Google knows my preference in underwear - The government probably know I have lots of friends in New Zealand - So what?

dyna mo 06-08-2013 07:46 AM

why is it so important to some of you for rochard to agree with your view?

he doesn't, so what.

I think there is a difference between me putting up things I WANT people to know about on FaceBook VS the govt. wiretapping me and watching my every move.

For instance...let's say Rochard isn't being quite honest on here...and in SECRET he lives a wild life and has a tranny girlfriend across town that he sees behind his wife's back.
Now some govt. bureaucrat has the goods on him.

Rochard could now be blackmailed.

J.Edgar Hoover held a lot of power in this country for DECADES by doing stuff like that.

Now think of the political implications (which is what Hoover did all those years) and you can see that just as the Democrats are using info against Republicans now...the Republicans will return the favor when they are in power too.

The govt. is just too big and too powerful. Just my opinion.

I agree with Richards meme

And I did get outraged about it. But it seemed like the majority of people didn't, they wanted to be "safe" from the big bad "terrorists". And from reading some of the posts here...they still don't give a shit.

I remember clearly George Bush giving a press conference back in 2001, and he said that 9-11 presented the U.S. with "unique opportunities".
At the time, I thought he meant opportunities to do something in the Middle East to help stop some of those crazy fucks...But it turned out that he meant it was a "unique opportunity" to give the govt. a lot more power over US.

That's one of the reasons that I voted for Obama in 2008 (and voted for Johnson in 2012).

Obama said in speeches in the campaign of 2008 that Bush was using "terrorism" to frighten us. And he insinuated that the Patriot Act needed to go. I really thought he was going to do something about it.

Instead he doubled down! And I'm also still getting searched like a criminal in airports all because a a handful of guys with box cutters hijacked some planes in 2001 (even thought that can NEVER happen again now that they installed locked steel doors on the cockpit).

Ari Fleisher (who worked for Bush) was on CNN yesterday proclaiming that he fully supports Pres. Obama spying on us. He also said that this is the 4th term of Pres. Bush by proxy of Obama following all of Bush's policies. :(

I fully support this. This is the price we pay for freedom. If they want to spy on me, come over and fuck my wife, grope my kids, shove their guns in our faces, I'm OK with all of that because we don't have anything to hide and they are just doing their job. So whatever it takes to keep us safe from the boogieman, I fully support.

God bless.

Local network news has already dropped the story. Faster than most stories. It's only been a few days and most people have moved on. At least the gun control issue was passed around for about 3 weeks.

The power of ignorance and denial is overwhelming.

I guess as long as Americans have a massive amount of entertainment to pacify themselves with, tv sets in the house and in their hands constantly, nothing else seems important or matters.

Long Live the Empire of The United States.

local news moved on for other reasons. it's not their job to cover national news, they cover local news.

and it's still being discussed in opinions columns and viewpoints, etc, as well as still the top headlines on all the major news sources.

helterskelter808 06-09-2013 10:02 PM

And just what the fuck was anyone supposed to do 12 years ago? Overthrow the Government?

Do you people seriously think this is a democracy? You think any of us has any power or any say in anything at all?

Our role is to take it up the ass, forever.

The only difference between us and the type of dictatorship in countries we like to arm/bomb, is that they're not sophisticated enough to change the Big Brother posters every few years, to kid the masses into thinking they have a voice.

The Government is a front for the people who control the country. We all know this. And we all know there's not a single real difference between the 'choices' of party, both of which represent effectively the same interests. Whatever spurious color President or Congress we have, the same dictators remain, pulling the strings.

I laughed a couple of years ago when people talked about how Gaddafi had been in charge for 40 years. As if this country had a different Government 40 years ago. Different assholes, sure, but the same shit.

So how the fuck can any regular person deal with the totally unaccountable and untouchable people who run this country?

The only surprise to me is they aren't fucking us over more, because there isn't a goddamn thing they can do that -- after the ritual pissing and moaning and outrage -- we won't just accept and forget about.

reported by the globe and mail, which is odd as they are owned by the british, with connections to the star media, which has connections to the sun, which is no better than 'fox news'

so, why now? and why just mackay, when it's the entire government
