The gunman who went on a shooting rampage in Santa Monica, California, killed four people, police spokesman St. Richard Lewis said. Authorities said earlier that six had died, but revised the number to four. The gunman was also killed, bringing the total number of deaths to five.

The shooter began his rampage at a residence near the campus of Santa Monica College, opening fire in a house, where police later found two bodies. He then shot at a passing car before carjacking another vehicle, Lewis said. He forced the driver, a woman, to drive onto the college campus. There he shot two people in a passing vehicle. One died at the scene. The gunman also fatally shot someone outside the campus library, where he engaged police in a gunfight, Lewis said. Officers fatally wounded him.

When people die in some fucked up way I think to myself... well, 150,000 people die every single day world wide in every possible way imaginable. So it's not sad, that's the way life should be. It's all good. Sure, it's not the politically correct thing to say, but it is the truth.

Wife and I were at our favorite Japanese market shopping for the weekend. While there, the shooter was killing his father and brother and setting fire to the house. While I was deciding which mayo to buy the shooter walked out into the street, hijacked a car, stopped another car and began shooting into that car. On the way to the college, in the hijacked car and with the hostage in tow he shot people in the street. When he got to the campus and stepped out of the car he shot a bag lady in the face. And then opened up with an AK on anyone he found as he made his way to the library.

By that time my wife and I were on our way down Pico. There is a pot clinic on the corner of a major intersection. I saw two cop cars. I thought a raid was going on. Then saw a helicopter ahead. Then saw more cop cars. Drove a little further towards SMC and there were cop cars everywhere. More helicopters. We wondered what was going on then discovered Obama was in town a few blocks away.

This happened in the neighborhood next to mine. For several hours there were helicopters hovering in unison and tactical vehicles patrolling.

Cops killed one shooter and arrested a "person of interest." Yep, just a day in the life on the west side of LA.

There's plenty that people can do about it, nothing to do with God. In the US alone, the number of murders per capita went down by 100% in the past 15-20 years. It was probably done with the combined efforts of people that disagree with the "shit happens" theory
