it wasn't a poor taste joke at all, she knew exactly what she was doing and only came up with the idea that it was a "joke" as a way to wriggle out after she found herself the subject of death threats and police investigation. she is no better than the scum who killed Lee Rigby and doesn't deserve the police protection she is now given.
Those fucking extremists who blight Britain now get away with so much by hiding under the "PC" banner.

as for the op, that tweet could certainly be considered hate speech. at the very least, it's in poor taste. i didn't find it funny, so not sure if that's an after the fact excuse, although that sort of humor is not my type.

I doubt anyone would sincerely try to argue that wearing a particular t-shirt was a valid reason to behead someone, so the tweet was quite obviously a 'joke'.
