I remember when Viacom was demanding Google hand over user info on Youtubers and The Internet was going apeshit over the thought that some evil corporate monster might gain access to their details.

Ignoring the fact that an equally evil corporate monster already had all their details.

fuck these cocksucking anti-american traitors. parasites like this are a complete disgrace to everything this country once stood for.

they help put the K in Amerika

one thing is certain, americans now fear big corps as well as big gov.

The recipient of a subpoena under FISA or the PATRIOT Act can't acknowledge the subpoena's receipt or reveal the subpoena's contents so they have no choice really.

A "no comment" would be better that an outright denial if they want to be left standing after the shit-storm brewing.

What do you expect them to say, "yes people, we give them ALL of your shit. Every photo, every IM, chat logs, phone numbers, IP address, and friends."

Sad thing is, even if they did say that, it wouldn't matter at all. At BEST .01% of their customers would stop using them, and where they would lose there they would gain from China next week.

i get the impression that this latest reveal has upset/pissed off a lot of the public, which even has obama on his heels trying to make excuses for it.

perhaps this could be the tipping point for americans. i know we let a lot of shit slide, but that is up until a point, historically, anyway.

heres how it works...government knocks on multi billion $ business door and says: "give back door or bend over to IRS for example"... young billionaires do not "fight for the peeps privacy" LOL and risk their billions...everybody knows the gov has a huge back big ass double panels door with a huge ass optic cable in the shape of a dick, logged deep inside an asshole like orifice that is the main access point to their main servers...from time to time the government comes with a bigger dick and, somehow, crams it inside the asshole orifice spy port using no lube at all...

and that was before the patriot act...now theres several penises crammed inside one asshole orifice spy port and they now have actuators to move them back and forth like giant fucking machines but at the pace of pneumatic hammers...

page and zuker wanted to keep their assholes pristine from the gov...trust me on this :2 cents:

Sure, but they won't do anything about it. The best Americans could do over the Wall Street / banker bailout nonsense was Occupy Wall Street. And like I said, these companies are EXPLODING in other areas of the world, so losing a very small percentage of Americans probably isn't that big a deal at the end of the day.

I used to think there was a tipping point, but I don't anymore. The fight has been bred and/or scared out of us. No one is going to make a stand against anyone or anything. At best you'll get a little boycotting, organized peaceful protests that will eventually get crushed by law enforcement, and everyone changing their Facebook avatar to something stupid. That will be the face of the next American revolution.

Obama is a pawn, as Bush before him was. The next guy in line will keep it all going, as will the guy after him. And if at the end of the day I am wrong and all hell breaks loose over this, the Gov just has to lie and say they are not doing it anymore and/or cook up a new boogieman and it will all go away. In a month or two no one will even be talking about this anymore.

i'm confident we have a tipping point. you can't legislate away the human spirit.

helterskelter808 06-08-2013 10:48 AM

What do people expect people to do anyway? Timothy McVeigh took a stand against the Government; he's considered to be a domestic terrorist, not a patriot.

Which, for the benefit of the NSA agent reading this, I, as a spineless jellyfish who knows my place, fully agree with.
