Why is Playstation so Fucking Slow?
 

I don't often play on my PS3 but tonight thought I would have a game. I switched it on and was informed that a software update was required. I am still downloading the update 20 minutes later, seriously, it's worse than M$

I seem to remember when you buy a game (Final Fantasy I think) it installs like a gazillion updates, I got that bored waiting I took it back to the shop.

It's only at 55% now :(

My updates always take fucking ages.

Yet when i'm gonna play a friend, he seems to do the same update in a fraction of the time.

Pisses me off...

I'm a PC Gamer but I REALLY want a PS3 just to play The Last Of Us!

There is a fatal flaw in your plan..

Once the console is turned off you can no longer remove the game..

I just sold my PS3. Although I did prefer it over the 360, I got sick of the constant system updates. I don't play games very often so when I sit down to finally play, I want to be able to play right away and have fun, not spend 30 minutes waiting for a fucking update. Literally every time I tried playing a game I'd have to wait for a system update. Hell, even when I wanted to just watch Netflix I'd have to wait for an update. Super frustrating. And people wonder why I still prefer my damn Super Nintendo.

I remember the good ol' days when if a game wasn't working right you could just blow in the cartridge, give it a good jiggle, and bam, game works..

The problem is your internet connection, not the PS3.

Slow internet = slow update times.
