Photo galleries : Stop making 1999 size pics.
 

These galleries with small over compressed pics make absolutely no sense anymore.
They lack quality.

Bandwidth is too cheap.

Stop shooting ugly chicks; I don't need that.

So what, every decent browser/OS has re-size and zoom.

The pic can be smaller than that but too much compression is not working anymore.

It's a bitch d/ling Hegre-sized pics of sheep on the 'ole USRobotics thinga-mah-jiggy.

Problem I ran into is some TGP scripts are rejecting submissions if pics are of too high file size. It's actually quite difficult to retain image quality under 250KB at anything over 1200xXXXX

So tot hat, I said fuckit and removed them from my list heh.

Agreed - especially if its an outdoor scene with lots of foliage/lawn/grass in the background.

I am not a program owner, just a free site/galley buoilder (some times)

Back in the day we did the thumbs like 100px and the big pics 500px on the long side.

These days I do my thumbs at around 250px and my big pics at 1000px on the long side. Decent quality but not hi-def by any means.

They want the good stuff they can click the link and go to a sponsor or search elsewhere.

But thats just me, of course.

That's exactly my point.
You make bigger pics now with reasonable compression.

I still see pics 500px on the long side with photoshop compression quality set to 3.

When surfers are on the tubes getting hours of free video, fuzzy small photos are useless.
The damn video has a clearer image.

Yeah it's cool because it's like looking at pictures, no reading involved.
