I still have one of the original Motorola Startac's around this place somewhere, those things were the shit when they came out :)

I have an Nokia phone from the late 90s or early 00s. It had a fake gold cover with a slide out keypad cover much like the one in the first Matrix movie. It was nice and even cool at the time (when you're 20) but now the gold paint is worn off and it looks like shit. I'll try to get a photo later!

I have a box of old phones in my attic. An ex used to work in a cell sales store and had them. For some reason I inherited them and they're still around.
Bunch of old Nokias in there for sure. |

Palm OS mixed with a phone. Horrible. There was no integration between the phone and the palm os part. Worst phone I ever owned. The thing froze so much and had to be rebooted that you'd think it was running on windows ME. I still have the original box it came in. Too bad it's not like an action figure where they go up in price. |
Have few around the house:)

Good old memories

http://img2.annuncicdn.it/e6/8b/e68b...c74da_orig.jpg When I purchased an yet smaller model (not to look like a loser), I gave those motorola's to my parents who used until battery and/or lcd display deceased. The most exotic phone I ever had it was the motorola accomply 008, around 2002: http://mobilegeant.com/images/gallar...mpli-008-1.jpg It had b/w touch screen needing a pen like the Palm (anyone remember Palm?). I gave it to my mom, who learned using the pen and played card games on it. My mom currently got my old iphone 3G. Updated to ios 4.0, most of the apps in appstore will not install, giving a "you need newer OS" type of messages (and I mean normal apps like translators, not 3d games), but she does not care. I am sure my mom will get my Samsung android phone in a near future. I am the only one who gift old cell phones, pc's and stuff to parents? |
I still have an Oki 900 around here somewhere :)

To think we used to pay per text and by the minute.
Side note : I used to have a ricochet to get mobile Internet. Twice modem speed for 80 a month. It was what got me out of my old job and into online. |
