tube owners getting shot will stop theft

No bullshiting i think the only way to stop tube theft is sadly a guy loses it and shoots up a couple tube owners at a convention. Court system won't work but i bet violence will.

Colmike9 06-11-2013 02:10 PM

Thread forwarded to tube owners

_Richard_ 06-11-2013 02:11 PM

and in light of this thread, i hope that doesn't happen

beerptrol 06-11-2013 02:13 PM

That would require to much effort. A GFYer losing it usually involves starting multiple threads about the same thing and using all CAPS

Honestly hope it does for the greater good i think it would change the way people work. At the end of the day if u come in my house and steal my 3k laptop to me its the same thing as u posting some video of mine that cost me 3k to produce. Sooner or later some guy is going to get ticked off and explode. At the end of the day u try to be nice they take down ur videos but next week more of ur videos always wind up back up, its a vicious cycle.

PornDiscounts-V 06-11-2013 02:31 PM

It wouldn't change a thing except tighter security at conventions.

xNetworx 06-11-2013 02:36 PM

Does the mafia own paysites? Nobody should be shot but some maybe should be sued.

you paying for content removal services?

we have been getting traction on what tests we have done with that length. If you're exclusive, you gotta be able to add sales text within the video for 'fresh HD content updated daily'

people are conditioned to pay for what they get

also with the comments, i was a little shocked at how many and how positive they all were..

DWB 06-11-2013 03:23 PM

Probably wouldn't hurt if a few of them got knee capped.

These guys should not be treated any different than if you caught them in your house stealing your TV in the middle of the night. But since it's porn, drinks all around!

Exactly my point, to me their is no difference. Guys who don't produce content will never understand the money and time one puts into their shoots and for someone to rip it off and give it away for free, and in this business unlike others i am supposed to sit down and have drinks with these people.

Did you know companies that have sub divisions and that have actually sued themselves? Yeah that shit happens... Apple, Bank of America, Wells Fargo... All have sued themselves for a part of their company because of infringement on patents and other things...

Google sues Apple over patents and other things all the time, yet they still pay them millions of dollars to be the default search engine in Safari...

You gotta learn to separate personal feelings and business feelings.

You think that nobody knows or understands because we don't shoot content? How do you think I feel? I'm a software developer, people rip and steal my stuff all the time... Do you see me saying that we need to shoot people who null my scripts? No.

I would have to agree, its the tube owners who should be paying for the removal services. Not the guys/grls who are producing stolen content.

I disagree... You can take better approaches to things... For example, Notch, the creator of the ever so popular game Minecraft, he's combatted piracy by being cool about the whole thing.. I remember not long ago there was a huge story about him in the media because some kid pirated the game and felt bad afterwords and tweeted at him saying if he could afford it he would have bought it that the game was worth it... What did Notch do? He found out where the kid lived and beat his parents knee caps in threatening to kill them infront of him unless he uninstalled the game.... Nah I'm kidding.. He sent the kid a free key to the game...

As a content guy, yeah you're gonna deal with tons of people stealing your stuff, just like I do as a software developer... The best action I believe is to not be an asshole... Contact the tubes, most of them now have content partnerships... Sure they may have gotten to their size stealing content, but that's in the past, you can't do anything about that... You know what you can do? You can combat their users from uploading your pirated stuff by working WITH them to add your promo content to their sites and just keep an eye out on your stuff being uploaded too and just send legit DMCA's.

Sure that route sounds hard to maintain because you'll be sending DMCA's up the ass every day to keep your videos removed, but they will remove them... They aren't some kid in their mothers basement running a site on Dreamhost... They're legit businesses who have people who will work with you.

Good luck and I hope you can put your angers away and see the big picture and prosper.

Here is the thing why in this biz should we work with them that is my whole thing. We have just become complacent and accepted theft as a common thing. For example if their is a fashion industry party and the owners of gucci, and prada are there, the owners are not there popping bottles with the guys running sweatshops that are producing fake bags, but in porn we all party and hang with each other even though soso tube owner is stealing from u. Doesn't make sense to me.

Thats a really stupid comparison. How can you compare a poor kid to a profitable business (tube)?

Back in 2007 or 2008 I always expected someone from the Ukraine would abduct a tube owner and then send his fingers one by one to all the other tube owners gift wrapped with a nice little label letting them know that they might be next. As far as I know it never happened.

I don't think it would change much NOW either. It would only mean more fall guys at the front of the line taking the crap while the real brains of the operation sit back in the shadows. There's too much money now and they are too big. Before maybe some of them would have decided that it wouldn't be worth it but not now.

BAKO 06-11-2013 07:02 PM

U guys are all delusional to even have a conversation about people getting killed

bean-aid 06-11-2013 07:10 PM

In most countries suggesting someone be killed is illegal. The only real remedy is to come up with a solution that is better.

While tubes steal the content another 100 models are in the works. If the content gets stale, the surfers will leave to find the not stale stuff.

Why do you think every major tube now has content partnerships? But those partnerships consist of *usually* side by side full length ripped vids.

No doubt will something else evolve, but if that evolution does not include the owners of content making money, no content will be made with any measurable value.

Easy to say when you're not a content owner that has his property stolen and given away on a daily basis.

Businesses have been decimated by these thieves.
