Fox news is pretty much moved to full retard

It's been a while since I watched fox news on TV. I'd see a clip here or there, but I never really watch much of it in quite some time.

Today I had the unfortunate experience of seeing the thing that should not be seen by any sane person, otherwise known as Fox news.

Seriously, they blamed liberals or Obama for something at least 8 times in 30 mins. They were advertising a book called Obamacare911 as well as a coloring book for kids called Tea Party for kids.

The same guy who made the coloring book also had one for 9/11 and a bunch of other crazy shit that little kids probably shouldn't have to be worried about.

It's no wonder the right is so fucked up today. How any sane person could watch that shit is beyond me.

It's not even about their agenda of bash the left every 2 mins, but they act like their viewers are mentality retarded.

You are absolutely correct - they have joined the other retarded networks like MSNBC that exist to tell their viewers what they already "think". Amazing how viewers get set in their uninformed ways and act as if the direction of their lives was a team sport! I feel sorry for those unpaid, unsung, ridiculed, self-appointed little soldiers who derive their worth from standing outside looking in the window cheering on their "team", when neither party gives a shit about them at all.

Welcome, Fox News, to the hall of idiots, the know nothing parrots of slogans and empty jargon. You keep your viewers fighting this made up Left-Right war, and we'll take everything out from under their pointless little noses.

Amazing! I can't imagine how anyone could fall for that.

85% of MSNBC is commentary or interviews rather than news

J. Falcon 06-12-2013 06:56 AM

It's pretty fucking embarrassing. Their shows are pathetic. Sean Hannity is the only person in the world who I wouldn't mind seeing shot straight in the face.

Please, Fox News is a million times worse that MSNBC. The latter at least has some good shows.

crockett 06-12-2013 07:18 AM

I don't watch MSNBC any more than I'd watch Fox, but I'm at least pretty sure they aren't spending 90% of their time trying to bash the right, like Fox does with the left.

I may be wrong but I never got that impression as if they did. A liberal view point, yes but not out right fear mongering and the attacks like you see on fox.

PornMD 06-12-2013 08:27 AM

MSNBC is really bad too for sure, but not to the lengths where you're actively being propositioned to brainwash your kids with propaganda. Or pretty much never say anything other than the one viewpoint and call yourself fair and balanced. I'm not a liberal and can plainly see that Fox News is a fucking joke.

Joshua G 06-12-2013 08:41 AM

i am thankful for fox news, ironic as it may seem.

despite being #1 in ratings, they are a disaster at the ballot box. There is a direct correlation between the rise of fox news & rise of extremism of the republican party. & we can see in recent elections the results of that.

without fox news (& george bush admin), the repubs might actually be a much more moderate party today, making the problems of democrats more pronounced. The problems for obama this term do not seem to harm his approval. & i believe that is because the alternative is the fox news crowd.

The producer was super nice to me before the show. Asked me repeatedly if he could get me anything, treated me like gold, and had a chauffeur drive me to the studio. Once the cameras started rolling all the niceties stopped and I was attacked completely out of left field. After the show I never heard from the producer again. Inside Edition interviewed me a week or so later and they were much kinder. In fact, after spending the entire day with me the host confessed that, should his daughter ever decide to pose nude online, he'd want her to shoot with somebody like me because I'm not a complete scumbag. Win!

There was a recent poll asking young Republicans to name leaders/icons of the two parties. When asked about liberals, they named people like Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, John F Kennedy, etc.

When asked to name Republican figures, it was Bill O Reilly, Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh.

There you have it.

Sometimes I switch over to Fox news for a laugh. People compare MsNBC and Fox for being the mouthpieces for both opposing sides, but that's where it ends. MSNBC actually has an intelligent political discourse most of the time(with both sides), while Fox consists of waterhead hacks in a conservative circle jerk. The sole responsibility of Fox news while a democratic president is in the WHite House, is to make sure everyone know he's the devil.

Vendzilla 06-12-2013 09:42 AM

Must be a slow news day for liberals if they are bashing fox news for being fox news.

When has Fox called our business losers? Michelle Malkin did, that's one person, not the whole station

I watch a couple news sources, because I believe that watching just one is for idiots as you only get what they are pushing.

You believe because I'm not a fan of the current administration that I watch fox news like a religion, I watch CNN a lot actually, you don't get much local stuff on Fox. I live in LA and there is a lot of local stuff going on.

Right now, in the news
Bengazi---Congress is having discussions about why we didn't protect them
AP news having their phone records subpoenaed
Whistle Blower saying that all US citizens are having their emails, phone calls and facebook accounts tracked.
IRS admitted to have conservative groups targeted , because they are conservative groups.
IRS spent 4.1 million on one convention, yet asked for specific amounts, they didn't keep a good record of that?
The FDA is sending reps to Mexico to teach the Mexican nationals how to better use our food stamp program. Which has the food stamp program, or now as it's called SNAP grow at alarming rates.
New Jobs that the present administration claims to have made have not kept up with the amount of new workers available

These things concern me, I think anyone that lives in the US should be concerned about these matters, liberal or conservative.

I think if all you can do is bash Fox news either don't live in this country and should shut the fuck up, or just hate it when the side you are cheering for fucks up in such monumental fashion and look for any reason, no matter how stupid to defer the attention the current administration as brought among itself.

The constitution in under attack, I want to be kept up on whats being done about it.

It's interesting that nobody ever accused another network of bias until after FOXnews had been accused of it by everyone else. Now you can't sneeze the name foxnews without someone else sneezing msnbc. Why don't you cancel cable or block those channels? They require each other, not you.

I said in another thread just now that cops are not your friend. Another group of people that aren't your friend are those in the media. Granted, some are very professional, unbiased and focused on the factual truth of whatever story they are reporting on, but those types are in the vast minority. The more abundant type are the media whores looking to sensationalize themselves by provoking those they are interviewing on camera. They often profer their own personal judgemental views on their unwary prey, thus putting a complete and utter bias and inflamatory slant on it. Ann Colter, Nancy Grace, Tucker Carlson, and now this Malkin twit are all of that ilk.

And the fact that Fox news seems to love to foster this style of reporting says it all.

To the OP: Thread title error. Fox news made that leap a long time ago, not just recently.

Like i said, watching that video made me angry.

Do you wish you said more to her though? I know she cut you off a few times, but for me, i'd just have ruined the interview and talked over her anyway, and maybe offered a few more insults of your own. Like you said though, you were probably caught a little off guard, since you were treated well before the cameras rolled.

She tried to make you look like a cunt, so i'd have made sure i was a cunt. Nice gesture at the end though. Fair play...

I may be wrong but I never got that impression as if they did. A liberal view point, yes but not out right fear mongering and the attacks like you see on fox.

I do watch MSNBC..and just like Fox..they do have some good actual news reporting shows.

But also just like Fox, they have tons of "Opinion" shows.

And yes...ALL they do is bash Republicans on all their primetime shows all night long.

If anything MSNBC is worse. At least on Fox you have differing opinions. They will bring on a liberal to argue with (which is good television...the reason Fox has higher ratings).

But on MSNBC you will watch Rachel Maddow just rip on Republicans and then bring in a panel of 3 or 4 other liberals who all agree with everything she just said! LOL!
Then the show is an hour of them all agreeing and smirking and laughing.

I watched the "Ed Show" on MSNBC this last weekend. The first thing he did was show a pic of Karl Rove and called him a "Turd Blossom"! I'm not joking! That is supposed to be a "News Show"???

Then he dismissed all of the stuff going on right now by saying it was REPUBLICANS trying to "whip up scandals".
He said that nobody in America really cares about the IRS investigating people or the NSA spying on them.
He actually said..."yes, the first amendment is important and all that...BUT..."
And then he spent 5 more minutes going on and on about REPUBLICANS. :1orglaugh

I almost choked when he spoke dismissively about Freedom Of Speech like that!

It's just amazing to me.
The FREE PRESS's job is to question the govt.
Not to fawn all over it.

Fox basically attached themselves to Bush's cock for 8 years. Never questioning him, always agreeing with him.

Now MSNBC is doing it even MORE with Obama. No matter what he does..they blame Republicans every time. If Obama farts it's because he ate Republican grown beans.

It's a sad situation...hopefully it's just a cycle in history and in another decade or so we will get back to the press doing their jobs again.

That pretty much sums it up. Before Fox, there was no one out there pushing for the conservatives. Now there is, if people want to really know what's going on, they have to listen to both sides. Idiots that sit here and bash fox, I guess they aren't listening to Fox? Then they are listening to just one side of it. Sheeple

I can't listen to Maddow on MSNBC. Way too one sided

bronco67 06-12-2013 12:22 PM

No one is denying that MSNBC is liberal...but they're just smarter over there. Anyone with half a brain can tell that Maddow is more intelligent than anyone at FoX news. There's just dumb horseshit flowing from Fox every minute, and they're bad at fact checking also -- and even worse they don't correct themselves on the numerous occasions they're just plain wrong. Have you ever watched The Five? I can't believe those mentally handicapped twits are allowed to say things on TV.

Republicans give MSBC plenty of material because their politicians are either trying to block people from voting, or killing a bill that might help people or just saying something retarded. The Republican congress has spent most of its time lately trying to hang the coon in their precious White House, instead of passing immigration reform or doing any other part of their job. It's easy to complain about them.

As for Fox, it's fine to be the conservative media mouthpiece, but go about it with some intelligence instead of wild speculation and propaganda.

I actually rarely watch either. There are plenty of political news shows out there slanted one way or the other, the major news networks don't need to be dipping into that well except to bolster their own ratings. In my opinion news should be just that; NEWS. No rife with opinion, not biased and stacked to lean right or left politically, just tell me what happened, what the known facts are, and let me the viewer decide for myself.

Why Fox has to be so obviously right-leaning and the other network so ridiculously left is beyond me. Report the damn news and leave the bias to shows like Limbaugh and Jon Stewart.

By the way I do very much enjoy the Daily Show, speaking of Jon Stewart. Liberal-leaning yes, but he's definitely not afraid to take a pot shot or two at the libs, Obama, Clinton, etc, which I like. Ridiculous is ridiculous no matter who's doing it.

The polarizing effect that networks like Fox and MSNBC are having on the American society is absolutely dumbfounding. If you're going to call yourself a news network then be one. They don't say 'opinionate the news' they say 'REPORT the news'. Both stations need to try reporting for a change.

"Turd Blossom" was GW Bush's nickname for Rove back when Karl was his political advisor, this is common knowledge not some random news anchor insult.

It was originally meant as sort of a vulgar compliment or term of affection - Rove had the ability to politically spin shit into flowers during Bush's campaigns & presidential runs.

There is a big difference between MSNBC and CNN/Fox and that is that they do not have NEWS in their title. They have always been primarily a talk and opinion channel, in fact before the Microsoft/NBC partnership the channel was called, "America's Talking". That's where I first became acquainted with my early tech guru, Leo Laporte on a show called, "The Site".

Rachel Maddow is the best talk show on the "news" channels. Nobody connects the dots, dots the Is, crosses the Ts and sources their facts more thoroughly and meticulously than her. And unlike the hosts on Fox, she will come back with a correction or clarification even on small things on the rare occasion she got something wrong. And it IS rare because she puts major reasearch and prep time into getting it right.

You can REALLY see the difference between progressive and conservative shows on radio. Where Rush takes carefully screened calls mostly from dittoheads and a rare "liberal" that they feel isn't articulate enough to get too much in during a brief bully pulpit slam, Stephanie Miller and Randi Rhodes have it as policy that if you disagree with them you get bumped to the front of the caller line. Thom Hartman regularly has fair give and take discussions with conservative guests. Randi says quite often, "Don't take my word for it, go look it up for yourself".

As far as "Turdblossom", that was George W. Bush's pet name for Karl Rove, because of his ability to take a pile of shit and spin it to make it smell like a rose. Ed was not making up a name to call him.

Really, you should seek put so e friends and have some real discussions as the above is way over the top.

[QUOTE=Scott McD;19666834]Like i said, watching that video made me angry.

Do you wish you said more to her though? I know she cut you off a few times, but for me, i'd just have ruined the interview and talked over her anywayQUOTE]

They would have just cut him off. He handled himself well, and the bird at the end was more than justified:upsidedow

Can you tell me one lie or distortion she's made?

I think in your "can't listen to" her you perhaps haven't really listened to her.
