Vegas in July, August, Sept. or October?

I guess the Monte Carlo misses my credit card so they inviting me back with a complimentary few night stay. They want me to come back before the end of October so I'm just curious, between now and then when should I return to Sin City? Anyway good conferences? Shows?

Pink Misfit 06-13-2013 12:54 AM

I hate going to Vegas in August. Right before school starts back too many college students. I would go in October! I been getting total rewards and B but probably won't go back until after school stars. What kind of shows are you into?

Good point on the kids going back to school ;) ...I dig all kinds of shows...minus the sold out house shows or whatever they're called like Monte Carlo has the Blue Man Group (I don't want to see that) ...I wanted to see Bass Nectar when I was last in Vegas but wifey (who won't be going back) wouldn't have it...I've also been wanting to check out the Haze night club inside of Aria.....trying to get a buddy of mine to fly in at the same time but we'll see ;)

Pink Misfit 06-13-2013 01:13 AM

I have only been to the Aria once and wasn't too impressed by it. The place is definitely nice but just wasn't to keen on it for some reason. I go to Vegas usually two - three times a year and have yet to visit the Monte Carlo. Is this where you usually stay? I may have to check it out my next time around.

I like Monte Carlo mainly because it is less crowded than other hotels and is right in the middle of everything. I've stayed at Flamingo and Tuscany but Monte Carlo is my best choice. I've only been 3 times...this will be my 4th time ;)

Too warm in July and August.

Last time I went was in October, and it was ideal...

fitzmulti 06-13-2013 07:00 AM

Living here, I'd say that "post summer heat" would be a better time to visit...but during the summer there may be more going on...

baddog 06-13-2013 08:13 AM

October would be the only month I would voluntarily go there with those options.

Agreed.
October through February are the only months I generally even go outside here, unless I absolutely have to. :winkwink:
:P

ImLarge 06-13-2013 09:18 AM

October all the way to March.
If you can go on Sunday thur Thursday and make sure nothing happening

Sarah_Jayne 06-13-2013 11:10 AM

I am there at the very end of July and start of August. I plan to be in an air conditioned bubble when I'm not in a pool. I burn with 100 spf on, so a required tactic.

Ross 06-13-2013 11:18 AM

I can't really say as I have only ever been to Vegas in January or November but going from the weather then, I don't imagine I'd want to be there in August. I think October is your best bet.

Mt first visit to vegas will be end of Aug/labor day weekend thru to Sept 5th

Going to the Shadowlane Spanking convention and making a vacation/filming elsewhere.

Anyone know a decent convertible car rental company for us to do a 3-4 day roadtrip in a proper American muscle car us Brits never usually drive because of stupid gas prices in our country?

Looking forward to it :pimp

ajrocks 06-13-2013 01:27 PM

August is like hell on earth in Vegas, stick to the end of September or early October and you'll enjoy your trip much more. August feels like someone has a hair dryer blowing right next to your skin.

PillWealth 06-13-2013 02:20 PM

October Definitely. Last time I was there in August it was 135F

Rochard 06-13-2013 03:39 PM

October only.

I am so done with Vegas...

A convertible would be a waste of money as you will have the top up and A/C on. :2 cents:

srockhard 06-13-2013 04:04 PM

Sounds like I'll be going to Vegas in October then ;) ...thx for all the feedback.

Vegas Ken 06-13-2013 05:21 PM

It is still in the 80's in October until the week before Halloween here in Vegas.
Love it!

fuzebox 06-14-2013 08:00 AM

Your room is generally the cheapest part of a Vegas trip. A free room offer isn't the best excuse to go... Monte Carlo is a great value hotel though, you can usually get midweek for $35.

I don't mind the mid summer heat actually... With a convertible though you'll only be putting the top down at night.

Blue Man is actually a really fun show. Haze nightclub sucks.

NETbilling 06-14-2013 08:40 AM

I love Vegas. Will be going again in 2 weeks. We have a condo there but have stayed at most of the hotels.
Love, O, and blue man group are 3 of my favorite shows.
I also recommend doing the Flighlinez zip line excursion. They will pick you up too if youndintbhave a car there and it is a great zip line experience in boulder city.
It's hot in the summer so stay at a place that has an awesome pool too,
Thereis so much to do there.

Hey Mitch I'll be in Las Vegas July 4th to 17th for the World Series of Poker Main Event, my buddy runs a company that does the broadcasting graphics and stats tracking, so I go out most years to help out.

I've got a big project ready to go as well that needs billing, so if you wanted to get together I'd love to show you around the WSOP and chat, catch dinner or something.

Let me know if you'd have time,
