Breaking bad final season
Vince Gilligan on Final Season of 'Breaking Bad': 'There Will Be Blood'
Vince Gilligan promises in a new interview that the upcoming final season of Breaking Bad will feature plenty of blood, tension and psychological unraveling. "There will be antagonistic relationships aplenty," the creator and showrunner told Entertainment Weekly recently, adding that the show's protagonist, meth king Walter White (Bryan Cranston), has "plenty of fight left in him. And he's got plenty of forces to fight. You met some of them. Others you haven't.? Gilligan didn't drop any spoilers about who Walt will face off against, though we know his DEA agent brother-in-law Hank Schrader (Dean Norris) will be chasing him after he found some damning evidence in Walt's bathroom. As for Walt himself, Gilligan hinted that the anti-hero will finally have to grapple with the consequences of his greatest power: his ability to lie, especially to himself. "So in these final eight episodes, perhaps the lies will cease to find traction and the scales will start to fall away from Walt's eyes," Gilligan noted. "And when that happens, will Walt really begin to realize who he is? That's a question that we asked ourselves a lot in the writers' room this year." Though Gilligan pointed out "there will be blood," the creator is more excited for the season's many emotional moments. "I have surprised myself at how much story there was left to tell and how quickly we tell it," Gilligan said. "You need to really settle down on the couch and pay close attention because it's going to come at you fast and furious in the final eight episodes." Some nerves underscore Gilligan's excitement for Breaking Bad's final season, which he hopes will provide fans with a satisfying conclusion. "I am guardedly optimistic that we have achieved just that," he said. "And furthermore, trying to be as coy as possible, trying to give away as little as possible, I feel like this ending represents on some level, however small, something of a victory for Walter White. Read into that what you will. And try to be as open-minded as possible when you watch this episode, because it may not indeed feel like a victory. Or maybe it will." full article... |
Can't wait! :pimp
People may be upset it's finally ending but I'd much rather shows go out with a bang, the audience wanting more rather than watching a show gradually decline in quality. It's been an absolute pleasure to watch, best TV Show ever! |
This show is fucking HEAVY.
I don't usually get amped up about television, but Breaking Bad is an all time great. |
i need to catch up on netflix but anytime i do - im sucked in for like 10 hours straight
|
I'm going to start a petition to end Mad Men and continue Breaking Bad for just one more season.
|
Hurry up time

You know a show is in trouble when the best compliment they have for the show is how authentic the costumes and sets are! |
I think we all knew the direction this was headed, and it isn't a good place for Walter White. Best character arc in the history of TV.

i revealed my lack of enthusiasm for madmen here at teh gfy once.

My friend Kayden Kross has a pivotal role in one of the last episodes
she is also the voice of one of the characters in GTA5 |
I can't wait for BB. Like others, I am glad to see it going out while it is still on top and still fantastic instead of dragging on for a few more seasons and getting bad then getting canceled.

In all seriousness, could you please explain how they explorer "deep stuff" on the show? I'll fully admit if I'm not "getting it" but I'd like someone to explain what I'm missing or not understanding. |
premier Aug 11th 2013

i just mentioned it in passing to, no biggie. it was funny. the current season jumps the shark imo. way too dark. look for a cameo by charles manson soon. |

I think Madmen is a bit like Marmite, you either Love it or Hate it :) Personally I find the show has a very depressing undertone to the whole thing, from the moment the music starts to recap the previous episode to how unhappy all the characters are with their lives. Is the Manson cameo coming in one of the last two episodes of the current series? I should really stop watching it, but there are only a handful of shows that are truly exceptional. Breaking Bad being one of them of coarse! |

but seinfeld was redeeming in the sense he was funny and entirely relatable. draper doesn't have any qualities that make him endearing, or relatable. he seems to be a dick just to be a dick. funny though, through the 1st many seasons i was trying to get my mom to watch madmena but she never caught it until a year-ish ago, now i stay current on it so we can chat about it finally. lol |

He constantly comes out with obnoxious shit like that when asked questions by people, another gem - "That question doesn't justify a response" The other thing I dislike about Mad Men, when I watch it I feel as if I'm watching the show through a looking glass. What I mean is a lot of the plot lines seem to come out of nowhere or just throw you in at the deep end. A few quick examples from Season 6, Don having an affair with their neighbour. Bam! Where did that come from? why did it happen? No explanation, no nothing, this is season 6 and it's happening! Remember Betty struggling with her weight in Season 5/6? Episode 609 Bam! skinny again, tada! No explanation, no nothing showing how she got to that point. It's lazy shit like that which is incredibly annoying. Some episodes go absolutely no where i.e. 602 When Betty goes to Manhattan to find Sally's friend - Conclusion = She doesn't find her and that's the end of that story line. A Fucking 5 year old could write that shit :) I like shows that have dark or deep undertones to them, as long as they are done well. I great example of a show I watched recently that falls into this category is House Of Cards, produced by Netflix starring Kevin Spacey. That's a dark political drama/thriller with teeth, great plots with interesting characters layers deep! I just find Mad Men too boring, I find the lack of any complexity in the plots disappointing but maybe that's just me. Perhaps LOST was another show I just didn't "get" |
look at us, turning this into a mm bitchfest! lolz.
oh well. i actually have been watching bb from the beginning as of ~ a month ago in prep for the last season, i'm going to time the last several episodes right up to this final season premiere. |

it sucks right now because they only stream the last ~4 episodes and i wanted to watch from the beginning again. |

The affair with the neighbor just more character exploration of Don Draper. She made him think about how he's not happy, and never will be no matter how many different women he sleeps around with. That whole situation triggered him to start seeing that he has a great wife and he's going to take another stab at being a faithful husband. That's a simplistic explanation, but the entire show is about someone who's in search of the next thing and will never find it. Not trying to insult you at all. Why would you watch a show that you only see the surface level of? You don't seem to like it so why stick around so long? That's why I wonder how you could have even seen all of the episodes. If I disliked a show so much I sure as shit wouldn't keep watching it. And its not like it's getting worse...it's been steadily getting better over the years. |

I think Walt Jr. might end up finding out about what his parents are up to and he will somehow get caught in the middle of things and be killed. Skylar will live as will the baby, but she will be haunted knowing that her actions, by helping Walt, likely helped lead to the death of her son. Saul gets caught and turns states evidence. Jesse either ends up in jail because of Saul or Saul helps him get a new identity and disappear before turning states evidence. I'm likely way off the mark. If nothing, this show is original and always seems to come up with interesting and cool new plots. I can't wait to see how it ends. I also am looking forward to seeing how they end Dexter. |
that would be crazy if they killed walt jr too!
|
skylar could become a meth head? like elvira in scarface.
|
Walt wont die
|
thread bookmarked!
place your bets............ is the last season still the planned 8 episodes? |
Quote:
It might be a fitting end if Walt, now feeling like an untouchable kingpin, continues to sell meth and pile up the cash then Hank catches him and puts him in jail. Walk loses all the money and in jail his cancer comes back and he dies and his family is left with nothing because of his greed and ego. |
looks like fiddy drug dealers coming soon
