How do you get your stuff on store shelves?
 

I'm thinking of trying to get some of my DVDs and website gift cards in adult novelty/toy stores. I'm not quite sure what approach to take, though... how do you guys do it? Use a distributor? Go through a third-party? Work the phones? Or do you try traditional store placement at all?

The biggest problem you're probably going to have with your DVDs is getting paid. You have zero leverage to collect as a small one man show and that is an industry notorious for stiffing people. Try to get with a solid distributor. I've been out of the loop for a couple of years so I can't point you in the right direction, but maybe try to talk to Porno Dan who posts here, he's one of the few who is still doing well with DVDs these days.
