My vote for best though goes to Byron Bay - Not just for the beach but for the whole place - I love it there...

OK - I love being by the sea and the bars and the people etc...

I really don't like the actual sandy bit though - Laying on a beach for hours on end, getting burned and dehydrated - You can keep that shit.....

I wonder myself sometimes when I see all those queens on beach patrol holding in their guts until they turn blue - Find me a nice bar NEAR the beach, that's where I am happiest...

It is super expensive, so no mass tourism there. I prefer Praslin or La Digue to the main island. I would say that best beach in the world is Anse Lazio of Praslin island, but they didn't put it in the list.

I can't do 'super expensive' these days - Maybe that will change...

There are a few beaches I can think of as well that are not on the list - Especially in New Zealand and the South Pacific.....

Been to 86, 39, 32, 13 but really missing some amazing beaches like the gili islands in Indonesia, and amazing ones in Vietnam, Thailand and Costa Rica beating at least half of this list.

Thailand is there with Phi Phi Don. Personally I didn't find beaches in Costa Rica anything special. There are a lot of beaches missing of course, my favorite of all times was on Rodrigues island, Mauritius.

Actually this is just from the top 25. If I look at top 100 I have been to A LOT more.

Corcovado national park beach, wild parrrots, palm trees, absolutely no one there, amazing imo

Little Makena Beach on Maui then! My favorite nude beach and a comfortable mix.

Have been to 15 on that list. Missing Gili Trawanang also. And Salvador Brazil on that list? Guess they missed the 20 other better beaches in Brazil. looks like a list of tourist beaches. Not 1 nice beach where you can lie down and make love in the middle of the beach an d nobody around.

I've been to 3 of them and would hardly call any of them as good as beaches I have been to that were not listed. I mean Venice?

seychelles all the way...ive been to 90% of the carribean islands and probably every spanish and italian beach there is, a few of the asian jeweles in indonesia and malasia but nothing comes close to the seychelles...it is simply the most tropical place on earth...

* I do not consider a "good beach" a place with lots of alcohol and drunk fat people, a good beach is exactly what the name implies: an undistrubed tropical paradise...

there is no place like the beach, especially when it's 10 min walk ;)

I've been to all of the Greek beaches listed. My favorite wasn't listed, however. It's Toroni, on the second "podi" (or, foot) of Halkidiki.
