ICQ crashes everytime. How can I run it?
 

ICQ client freezes every time I use it on a decent computer. What can I use to access ICQ yet get around this issue?

I do not think I have had ICQ crash, ever, in nearly 8+ years.

I had same problem. It was strange but if I removed ICQ from processors in control panel... then opened the program back up from start button (assuming you have windows) it didn't crash. That lasted for about a week then just started working again. I will never do an upgrade.

Use Trillian, it is much more stable than ICQ.

I've actually completely dumped ICQ over a year ago. No need for it. I use Google Talk client and Skype. Most people have one or the other nowadays anyway.

Oh fuck you guys...I asked for ICQ help on here a month ago and got crickets....WTF?

there is WEB ICQ, try to log on there

try pidgin, never crashed here.
