Our 15th anniversary on the horizon

I've read in several places the average for a married couple in Canada is just 7 years.

Only 52% of married couples see their 15th anniversary.

This Aug. 1st marks the wife and I's 15th anniversary (been together 18 years).

If it's any indicator - my parents celebrated their 51st anniversary last weekend. Only 5% reach their 50th anniversary.

We'll go out for a nice dinner with a few friends and family. We've scheduled a much-need vacation in Aruba next Feb. - so that'll be our celebration treat.

As for secrets - never argue over money. Never go to bed mad. Maintain enough presence of mind to keep my mouth shut after the 10th beer, lol.

Congratulations.

I was married for 16 years. It took 2 women but I was married for 16 years.
