what is the best blog software + do blogs convert?
 

I have some (not hardcore but not mainstream) site that gets around 8k real visitors per day and I was thinking making a blog promoting maybe chat rooms or something like that. In other words I would like to use the traffic i have to get some new ,recurring, visitors to new blog. The blog would almost be a part of the site ,similar design etc so people would see it as a "blog accompanying this site".

What software are you guys using? self hosted wordpress? blogspot.com? any other good ones? I am talking about simple blog with posts,not some tube site where I would probably post some info from XML feeds from chaturbate or other programs...

Do you guys use blog mostly for bringing traffic or do blogs convert? I have not yet decided on the niche but I think cams can be a good idea...I am more open to cams because the visitors wont be coming from porn tubes or something but more like site with nudes and similar soft stuff...

Wordpress is the biggest free blog script around imo. It allows you to use loads of free plugins, designs, Mods,... There are a lot of individuals and compagnies that provide support,... On the downside, it's so popular that there are a lot of exploits available (bigger chance of getting hacked). Also, it's slower than some less popular scripts...

Wordpress is the best blog platform and yes, blogs do convert.

There is no money in blogs or cams

Other than wordpress, you have Joomla and Drupal, then there are other CMSes out there but I have never tried them such concrete.

Unless you have a real good reason to, wordpress is the way to go.

Personally, I wouldn't use anything other than Wordpress for a hosted blog now... it's fantastic :) Just make sure you keep it updated to stop any potential back doors or viruses :)

blogs do convert, but not nearly as they did a few years ago. For myself I have the most success pushing CCBill solo girls.
