U.K. girl uses fake passport to get through Turkish customs
http://assets.nydailynews.com/polopo...sh-customs.jpg
http://assets.nydailynews.com/polopo...sh-customs.jpg A couple were left stunned after their nine-year-old daughter managed to pass through Turkish customs officers - with a passport identifying her as a UNICORN. Emily Harris had taken a toy passport she had made for her toy unicorn, Lily, on holiday with her. And when the family passed through customs at Antalya airport to start their one-week holiday, flustered mum Nicky accidentally handed over the toy's passport instead of Emily's. But they were stunned when they later realised their mistake - and discovered passport officials had even STAMPED the unicorn's passport, granting it access to the country. Nicky, 43, from Cwmbran, South Wales, said: "I didn't realise until I was putting the passports away. There was a moment of panic when I thought someone would come chasing after us, but nothing. "The passport doesn't even look real - it's got gold teddy bears on the front and was a completely different size from mine and my husband, Allen's. "The man even asked Emily how old she was, and she told him nine, before he stamped it." It was only when they got outside that Nicky realised that instead of handing in Emily's passport, she had shown her daughter's Bear Factory passport for a Unicorn toy called Lily Harris. "The picture ID wasn't even of Emily, it was of a pink unicorn. "And to make it worse, the unicorn wasn't even on holiday with us. "We saw the funny side, and laughed at the fact that the officer had even stamped the passport. "But at the same time, it's a worry to any parent, how easy it would be to smuggle a child through customs and into another country." |

Its Turkey, what do you expect, they just wanted to let her in so some perverted old Turkish guy could sodomize her while she was on vacation so he could give his goat a reprieve for a week :Oh crap
|
that happens when women wear headscarfs - guys think they look like unicorns under them.
but maybe in his home village all "women" look like that... |
hey they got their 5 seconds of fame, and now someone is going to get fired, and the next family that 'accidently hands over a joke passport' will get the full treatment.
stay classy. |

I think your mistaking Turkey for a country that gives a fuck what people think. Only in England, Canada and the US is this liberal political correctness destroying the moral fiber that once made these countries great.:2 cents: |

no good deed goes unpunished. i wonder if this attention whore realizes what would have happened if the border agent did their job, and the family got arrested for providing false identification documents at an international border. Quote:
don't deal with many turks eh? |
I heard that last week. It is funny but thankfully the kid was with adults that were meant to have her. That's the bigger concern. If a unicorn passport will do, what about a passport for the wrong kid?

Alqaida terrorists no more needed passports here anymore, our syrian border is worse than Mexican border of United states. |
Good look trying to get back into the country with that

I always laugh when somebody from Romania says they have tons of money, but can't come to Las Vegas because they can't get a visa to enter USA. If you have plenty of cash you don't need a visa. Just fly to Canada. They will let anybody visit them. Then take a bus to somewhere north of North Dakota. Walk across the hundreds of miles of completely unprotected border. Go to town and get on a Greyhound bus to Vegas.
When I tell them this they always ask, "yeah, but what about checkpoints?" Lol This is America. There are none. Even if you did get stopped for something just show them you passport and say you are on vacation. Cops are clueless here. Then they ask about what happens if they find out I am there illegally and put me in prison? Oh, Jesus, man. It's called a free ride home. They deport you back to your country for free! But that won't happen because nobody is looking for you. In Vegas you can buy a new identity if you want to stay. Why terrorists go through airports to get here is beyond me. |
must be roque employers doing the check

Seriously it seems you have no clue about what's going on here, a specially our youngsters critesize our system probabely like no where, but too bad we got too many opsticals to overcome. and let me tell you something more if you critesized western policies twoards middle east like you do it for my country, you would be helping us at least. it's easy to critesize a society from a proper working liberal democracy while you are off of the major problems that of turkey you are bitching. you don't know that how we even pushed more thru so called "moderate islamist dictatorship" due to American middle east policies for a bit more than last 30 years. Look what's going on in Syria, Asad runs a dictatorship but at least a secullar one, His policies are way better than most of the arab countries, women have better position (at least politically),, when you go to a syrian resto, have your alcohol without being worried, Syrian government is way supportive for a western style of living we can say (no need to say you can brows porn without using a vpn software, unlike Soudi Arabia and Qatar WHO wants to bring democacy in there). care to think once, what if Asad was unsuccessful and couldn't beat this so called Fsa and his radical allieds? 10-20 years later some spoiled american kid like yourself would come around to say how Syrian society is backward, how that place is messed up with intolerance etc. i know topic has göne too far from what i meant to say, but as a person WHO has born and grew up in Turkey, i know the flaws and social illnesses of my society and they are undeniable. to make you sure believe me that there are milions of youngsters ask for change (you may see the recent protests), but as i pointed out previously things are not as easy as some of you people may think and i m sorry but the governments you voted have their own share in that picture. |
A little correction to my previous post, i meant when you are bitching about something, first see yourself on the mirror, , otherwise Your oriantalist view point means nothing...

When I used to travel as a child nobody ever checked my passport properly would just get waved through when they saw it was in my hand.

Everyone should have at least one fake unicorn passport. That's how Jason Bourne gets around.

I think Western socialism has gone too far and it pushes everything to an extreme. On the other hand I dont think a repressive regime solves the issue either... but really wish I could send of these western fucks to some other countries so they could get a grip on reality! cheers hopefully you guys get what you want...would like to visit Turkey one day! |
I know that the use the word "instead" but I really wonder if the kids pass prt was handed in as well and if so, then the guy was just being nice.

I remember after the 9/11 attacks a man posting how he got through security with a knife buckle belt and made a joke about it making fun of security. He was then later arrested and charged.
Karma can be a bitch. Sometimes it is best to keep it to yourself. I would have shown airport security so they can learn, not post it on the internet with my kids pic. There 15min of fame is up. |
