And in a related note, the Jets are trying to figure out how to sign him.

Football players are criminals too.

ludballs 06-26-2013 11:16 AM

What an idiot! The Pats did good getting rid of him so soon, this is going to go on and on...

There have been 28 NFL players arrested since the Super Bowl, roughly 1 in 27.7). I thought that was a lot and I decided to look at the US on a whole.

The figures for 2011 were roughly 1 out of 25 people were arrested. So pretty much par for the course whether you play in the NFL or not.

How I came up with the figures:

28 NFL players arrested this year since the Super Bowl. (5 months) Prorated for a year: 67. Total NFL players: 53 players + 5 practice squad players x 32 teams = 1856.

[1856/67] = 1 in 27.7

US Population in 2011 = 311.6 million. Total arrested in 2011 = 12,408,899 (According to the FBI

[311.6 million/12.4 million] = 25.1

Seems like a pretty cut and dry case based on the evidence. Seems like his destroying of his surveillance system didn't work, as they recovered video of Hernandez walking thru his home with the gun down to the basement to disconnect it.

not a classy thing to say, after reading more its a very sad story - the victim knew he was going to die right before the shots rang off

" Hernandez and two friends picked up Lloyd at home at 2:30 a.m. on June 17, prosecutors said. Surveillance footage from Hernandez's home shows him leaving earlier with a gun. He also told someone in the house that he was upset and couldn't trust anyone anymore, prosecutors said.
After that conversation, Lloyd texted his sister, "Did you see who I am with," prosecutors said. When his sister asked who, he answered at 3:22 a.m., "NFL," then, a minute later, "Just so you know," prosecutors said. "

so if he did it, he shot and killed his girlfriend's sister's boyfriend. over a dispute from the guy talking to some people Hernandez didn't approve of, outside of a nightclub

and a man claimed he was shot by Hernandez in a car after a fight at Tootsie's Strip Club, Miami, back in February plans to re-file lawsuit over losing his eye. possible accidental discharge of weapon, so charges were dismissed but lawsuit will be re-filed after paperwork mix-up.

I don't know about that Gronkowski has had five operations this offseason on his back and broken left forearm.

That, plus they no longer have Welker. This would have been his "breakout" year (pun intended). Good thing they signed Tebow! (Sarcasm intended as well).

Relentless 06-27-2013 05:27 AM

There is a reason most teams chose not to draft him...
