Whoa Blogger updates Content Policy...

You are receiving this message because you are the admin of a blog hosted on Blogger which is identified to have Adult content.

Please be advised that on June 30th 2013, we will be updating our Content Policy to strictly prohibit the monetization of Adult content on Blogger. After June 30th 2013, we will be enforcing this policy and will remove blogs which are adult in nature and are displaying advertisements to adult websites.

If your adult blog currently has advertisements which are adult in nature, you should remove them as soon as possible as to avoid any potential Terms of Service violation and/or content removals.

Sincerely,

" ... displaying advertisements ... " needs to be clarified better by them.

Are they just covering obvious elements like banner ads and the like or would this
cover affiliate text links only appearing in text content as well ?

eh? with both blogger and tumblr removing blogs with adverts then surely it'll only be the freeloaders left?

so you will still be able to have adult site on blogger, you just cant monetize it anymore ? how will they check this=?

Dang, I still have a few old blogs that send some decent traffic. Guess I'll wait till they take them down. Love how they waited till June 26th to tell us they were going to crack down 4 days later.

Nothing new. I have had blogs in blogger and tumblr deleted during 2011 and 2012, for being adult in nature and using affiliate links. Now I have learned the lesson and only use them as feeder sites. But this is nothing new, both tumblr and blogger have been doing this since a long time.

makes no sense. you can't run adsense against adult sites there and only other way to monetize it is to place affiliate links on the site. Blogger sites are nice, but don't get a ton off traffic anymore.
