Hire 20 different people on fiverr, with some luck you will get something usable... at the very least, you will get some ideas that will help when you hire a real designer...

While this is generally true, I have used "scorpion6" on numerous occasions and had good results. I use to hire like 5 designers for each job, now I just hire him. :2 cents:

Nothing good actually costs $5 on Fiverr. I get some great logos, but I usually end up paying $50 or so once you pay for the proper file formats, and other upsells.
