Very nice. Good choice !

96ukssob 06-28-2013 05:35 AM

Sweet!

I love mine, I have a 2012 two-tone sub. The most obnoxious question I get it "is that real?" and "can I see it?" Both are answered with "what do you think?"

If you need a winder, I got a great one off amazon that you can adjust speed and rotation for about $40

adamneve 06-28-2013 05:37 AM

very nice, Congrats!

Markul 06-28-2013 05:40 AM

I got it for a very good price :winkwink:.... you can find similar ones on Ebay from $5000 - $8000 depending condition, age, papers, original Rolex parts or aftermarket etc...

At a Rolex jeweler you will always pay a bit more obviously

yuu.design 06-28-2013 06:09 AM

alex.missyouth 06-28-2013 06:14 AM

I have a clock in my cell.

Choopa_Pardo 06-28-2013 06:18 AM

Rolex owners always get asked "is that real" because most people can't name a high end watch brand other than Rolex.

Nice datejust. Simple, clean, and will never go out of style.

I don't own a Rolex (yet?) but here's a picture of my favorite watch in my collection, the Sinn U2:

Correct.

Peacocks are much more ornate than pheasants.

Here's a Explorer II ref 1655 that I will endlessly lust after. This model was Steve McQueen's daily wearer:

Quite the collector's item, so it's unlikely I'll ever be able to afford one. Gorgeous timepiece though. My favorite Rolex, just ahead of the Newman Daytona.

correct, it was listed for already a very good price IMO considering the condition and everything that came with it... I bought it for less than that in the end :thumbsup

Btw, the ebay seller that sold me the watch... Astorlive... I recommend big time!!! Always a risk when you pay upfront with a wire transfer... Honest guys that deliver what they promise! So if anybody is looking for a watch... ask them

Thanks, before this one I had a 1980 Two Tone Oysterquartz with the same dial but no diamonds.. like this:

But I have to say.. since I owned both with and without diamonds... IMO the diamonds really compliment and complete the watch...especially with the champagne dial in sunny daylight :thumbsup

I ended up buying this one for $99 from amazon.com

I was considering buying a Daytona and this one supports different rotations and speeds, versus the other one only does speed for $49, but can't find the link

Barefootsies 06-28-2013 07:20 AM

Congrats on your pick up.

I enjoy the current Daytona I have now, but I am looking to get this model Submariner with the diamonds next.

I leaned it up against the banana on my desk that I was about to eat to get a good picture.

I can confirm that I do not have banana arms.

Fat Panda 06-28-2013 08:14 AM

There are indeed a lot of fakes circulating on eBay...

the thing is a 5 dollar watch tells the same time as a rolex. i suppose if i had so much money i might as well throw it away i might buy one but i'd sooner put money back into the business than buy useless toys.

thanks guys. It's probably the last watch I'll ever buy. I highly recommend the brand. Sinn is manufactured in German, uses Swiss made movements, and are incredibly robust, good looking, and reasonably priced. Everyone I've dealt with at Sinn have been wonderful.
