uniquemkt 07-03-2013 09:00 AM

I made it to about 90:57, paused it to take a leak, saw there was another 90:57 left and went to bed instead.

EddyTheDog 07-03-2013 09:03 AM

Actually I had the same experience when tried to watch it after 1/2 liter of whiskey. Then a couple of days ago, I gave it a second chance and found this movie perfectly beautiful. That's just my :2 cents:

Glad I wasn't the only one.. I made it about an hour then turned on History Channel.

Si 07-04-2013 03:46 AM

I finished it, mind = fucked.

bronco67 07-04-2013 06:38 AM

It's a train wreck, but I still enjoyed it. Actually, I liked it because its a train wreck.

Klen 07-04-2013 07:34 AM

I liked it a lot too. The embedded message is very powerful and hard to put into words for me. It is just a well done example how all our lives are somehow connected over decades.

Cause and Effect.

Evil Chris 07-04-2013 12:55 PM

Everything I read about this film says that it's a love it or hate it kind of experience.

I haven't seen it yet.

icymelon 07-04-2013 02:43 PM

its about reincarnation and finding your soul mate. Each time their paths cross in different lives something tragic happened to one of them. Eventually in the end when humanity was no longer living on Earth anymore ....

Well watch the movie I don't want to spoil.

If you can tune into what they're trying to do (until the very end), you'll like it. But I can see why some people hate it.

There's a weird thing in the movie where they use the same actors for multiple roles -- even when their nationality/ethnicity doesn't fit -- but it kind of works for the theme of the flick. Hard to explain, but you'll see if you watch it.

dillfly2000 07-04-2013 06:48 PM

Great movie, lots of pretty colors and shiny things to look at.

But in all seriousness, I loved it. I'm a sucker for "mindfuck" movies.

SpicyM 07-04-2013 08:44 PM

100x better than Skyfall which got me bored after 10 minutes.

Of course, this film is not for idiots who like shitty action movies.

Redrob 07-04-2013 08:50 PM

I really enjoyed the movie. I thought it would make a good adult parody with six actors playing six different parts set in different times. Great movie.

Yep and there was some good one liners in it,plus fact how mister smith doing role in it as well.Still i am curios what kind of movie would be if entire movie would be based on just one story, that one in singleminded Korea.

AJ_NETWORK 07-05-2013 02:21 PM

What I got out of it was that no matter what time you're in, shit's gonna be fucked up one way or another.

_Richard_ 07-05-2013 02:22 PM

woo sounds like a good movie

Your way of saying you didn't understand it either, huh.

VIXEN ESCORTS 12-18-2013 07:01 PM

Original and compelling film and that is the "true true", glad I read about it before watching it though, otherwise I might have got lost. For a three hour movie it actually went pretty quick and I've watched it three times now, it's haunting me.

VIXEN ESCORTS 12-18-2013 07:08 PM

It's six different stories set in six different times, 1800's, 1930's, 1970's (Halle is hot) 2012, 2150 something and 2300 something but they all connect in one way or another. It's about how every person can influence the future through their actions. So the black dude on the ship got saved by the white dude and they sailed to San Francisco and the black dude was an ancestor of the Luisa Ray chick in the 70's etc etc, you get it.

bhutocracy 12-18-2013 07:09 PM

The book was very, very good, I've had the bluray sitting there for about a month though waiting for a chunk of time to watch it with the wife so I don't know how well it translates to film.. much easier to explain things in book form. That M83 song in the trailer gets me every time. Fuck I love that album.

Phoenix 12-18-2013 07:09 PM

i liked it...watched it on a plane..so had no choice...but once i was into it..i really liked it
