Long John Silver's
death on a plate? :Oh crap :1orglaugh :helpme
The Center for Science in the Public Interest, a food watchdog group, says a new dish at Long John Silver's is a 'prescription for heart disease.' http://www.mail.com/video/topvideos/...itorschoice1-1 |

Damn I miss Long John Silvers so bad. Never ate there much though, was one of those places I ate at once in a while. It's been three years since I moved, and there are none around here. The closest is in Gulfport about three hours away, I'm tempted to take a nice drive there one day.

I've been fishing trout, bass, walleye, northern and whitefish for the past 3-4 years on one of the few remaining pristine lakes in N. America. Filets cook up snow-white, flaky, almost fluffy, and melt in your mouth. Best healthiest fish I've ever tasted. So I can't see myself being motivated in any way to be going through a LJS's drive-thru anytime soon.
In fact I have a 5-lb bag of frozen filets from that lake in my freezer right now. There's a fish-fry a-coming in my near future... |
