umm Paxum ?

In reading and reading and reading the responses on this website about Paxum
- I am somewhat hesitant to ask for advise about them.

In reviewing the Paxum website
- they basically require an ID and a Address.

Any issues about this company ? Any good alternatives ?

The last thing anyone wants is your info being used in not good ways.

Hi there,

Paxum has been serving the ewallet needs of the adult industry for almost 3 years. We have been voted GFY Payment System of the Year two years running (2012 & 2013), as well as being voted XBiz 2013 Award Winner of Payment Service Company of the Year earlier this year. A large portion of the adult industry uses Paxum to both send and receive payments (sponsors, traffic sellers, hosting providers, designers, etc).

Paxum is very straightforward and easy to use. It's free to signup with us, we have no monthly maintenance fees, and it's always free to receive money via P2P (peer-to-peer) payments which are available for everyone (both personal and business clients). We also offer the option for you to instantly access your funds through a prepaid Paxum Mastercard, an option that is favored by many of our clients.

You are correct that for a personal account we require a Picture ID and Proof of Address and all submitted documentation is protected and secure.

I'd be happy to answer any specific questions you may have about Paxum, please feel free to ask away, or to contact me directly if you prefer.

Here's the real story. Cliff notes version.

- Paxum is one of few such services for adult webmasters.

- You will definitely have to provide photo ID and proof of address.

- You stand a good chance of having to do other stuff too like having to scan in a credit card, provide utility bills.

- Paxum tends to be much pickier than most other such providers with their documentation requirements.

- Paxum is regulated by FinTrac. But this is primarily for money laundering and not consumer protection. Sometimes in the past it is debatable that they have tried to present an alternate picture of what FinTrac regulation is. Customers should be aware that it appears there is little government oversight as far as Paxum goes.

- Paxum has policies such as if your provided ID expires they will demand you update it. Under some circumstances your access to funds could get suspended if you are unable to meet the requirements in time.

- Occasionally people report issues getting funds from local ATMs.

- There are a series of fees you should be aware of for various things which your current bank might not charge you for.

- There is no known traditional security breach where full access was granted to the general public but there has been a past security breach where most account holders could get the personal details of other account holders including phone number and address. Most people did not consider Paxum to be very up front about this data breach. https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1110227

- Some people report issues with customer support but the support personnel here on the board seem decent.

Possible alternatives: Payoneer, Paypal (for non-public stuff, risky), some other smaller providers.

I suggest doing a search on the board prior to making a decision. It's your call. Good luck. :)

I've had Paxum for a long while now, and NOT ONCE have I had any issues.
Of course, they need your info...but all of them need SOME info, otherwise how would you get your money from them?

THUMBS UP as far as Paxum goes!

If you are serious about business then use Paxum. If you are not really all that serious then use Paxum. If you are somebody that likes to look at negatives which are vastly outweighed by their positives, use Paxum. If you just cannot get passed the negatives, use nothing like you have been doing. But then ask yourself, how's that been working out for you in comparison to those who have been enjoying the convenience of using Paxum?

Its a pain in the ass, password changes every few months, they want photos of you holding a passport and other stupid shit like that, scan this and scan that, not to mention the ticket service from "Pakindia" that are seriously less than worthless, so when you need something done hit up Ruth she's very good and fast at taking care of stuff.

It's the only service out there that 80% - 90% of adult webmasters and companies use and the fees aren't that bad at all.

I'm waiting patiently for MasterCard to slam Paxum down.. if history is any indication, it will happen eventually.

Maybe they'll just get hacked and leak everyone's paperwork and their clients will show up at their gates with pitchforks. Who knows.

In any event, it won't end well. :2 cents:

Paxum is amazing. They could always drop some fees, but that's ok. They are concerned about security, their panel is cool and they offer a very fast and good support.

There's no alternative for Paxum these days.

Payoneer sucks.

The only prepaid card I have that I can compare with Paxum is NETELLER, but it is for gambling and poker, not adult.

Or you can stay with the good and old paper check, but it takes time for people living so far away like me.

Just don't use it as a bank and it will limit your liability. Keep as little funds inside as necessary. Even banks have massive data theft.

We've had 1000's of transactions through Paxum in the last 2 1/2years without issue.
