I'm a guy that never wore flip flops
 

I'm embarrassed to wear them but so many people today wear them. Sometimes I feel silly for being the only person outside in the summer that's not wearing them.

99.9% of people in the summer wear flip flops. This is a fad I can not get myself into, but am considering pushing myself into it because of the pressure of society.

So, should I start wearing them?

buy some cheap ones, take em to the beach

I was the same way but I only wore them when I went to cancun 3 years ago with my brother.... I got those Dr scholls semi flops thingys and in that heat man it was nice...

I only buy Havaianas, they are the best in my opinion. They're durable and comfortable.

Havaianas also offer slip on shoes which sound like they may be more comfortable and lightweight for your summer walks and preferences...

If you don't like flip-flops I'm of the opinion you simply shouldn't wear them, but that doesn't mean you can't have comfortable feet this summer :2 cents:

You can do the sport sandal which is more like a shoe and see how it goes. I started there and now do flip flops everyday.

I can't respect a man who wears flip flops. Even the name is ridiculous.

I am the same way... I don't have UGLY feet, but I feel feet are ugly in general and I've always had rules on not wearing flip flops....

Brasil! Havaianas are have a bigger post for between the toes. I do not find them comfortable and have to use a different brand.

BINGO! Besides, there are several factors. One, I keep my feet clean and my toenails trimmed. Two, I live in Miami. Here people wear flip flops all over the place all year long. It actually makes sense, not only that it's always warm, but that in the summer we often have afternoon downpours that turn parking lots into lakes in 2 minutes flat, and it's really easy to just roll up your pants for a sec and wade through water to your car in your flip flops that would totally screw up normal shoes.

I actually have "formal" ones, and casual ones.

Try a pair of these. They're like waterproof air conditioned tennis shoes, lol. I wear them all the time when I walk in the rain or right after. Also they cover more of your feet if you go to the mall, etc. and come in various colors. Real comfortable and sold in most local run/walk stores.

I just bought some nice lacoste flipflops. Don't buy cheap shit, i once bought a pair at the beach and they lasted a mere 600-700 meters of stumbling drunk.

the slippers you guys call 'sliders' are indeed used for bath/shower purposes around here. Mostly for showers @ public places like swimming pools, etc.

flip flops fuck up my feet. The thing between the toes is not healthy and last time i weared them i got blisters and was unable to walk for a few days. It's the worst footwear invention ever.

last couple of days been extremely hot, and like madalton mentioned i am also old enough to not give a fuck what other people think, so i been wearing my 'sliders' outside. Very comfortable!

By the way, sandals are worn by old people and crocs by retards.
