Is it just me or does everyone think you're a sex therapist when you tell them you're in porn?
I rarely volunteer what I do unless it comes up in conversation, and even then, the level of my involvement that I am willing to shares varies by person. My family, friends and even my doctor know exactly what I do, and support it, but with some people I just get the vibe that I should be vague... or even go the "I'm in online marketing" route.
For those are you that shoot porn, or are in adult full-time, do you also find that people get excited and share their sexual desires and preferences with you? Like the prim and proper MILF that tells you that she loves interracial threesomes? [true story, there] I feel like I know more about the sexual preferences of some people than their own spouses. It just crossed my mind and seems so odd... I'm not a sex therapist, but people treat me like one. |

Recently started dating someone and it's weird discussing the situation with them. I think she likes the idea that I'm comfortable with sex and I know quite a bit about it, but there are problems such as talking to her parents and whatnot.
Saying that, porn taught me how to finger a g-spot and eat a clit at the same time to guarantee full body spasm orgasms, something that I'm kind enough to give her a daily basis. Naturally, she doesn't have too many complaints. |
Being a woman in the industry means every guy I meet has to 'come out' to me with whatever fantasy it is that they think only they have ever had.

I'm constantly inundated by tales from guys wanting to brag about the chick they picked up last night, or the MILF they met at the supermarket who told them that they should get into porn, or the couple who want me to film them so they have their own movie. Some of the "reports" seem to be guys wanting to justify their sexual conquests. They think that I'd WANT to hear about their sex fantasies--yikes!

It can be really cool sometimes, learning sexual desires of other so easily.

me, being a woman as well, when i tell someone, they assume i am a 'model' .. and then i have to explain how it is..
i dont get any confessions, and they avoid asking questions alltogehter.. i find it makes men shy.. apart from a date with an asshole guy, who when i told him what i did started shouting german porn film terms ( like oh ja, schneller and whatnot..) :D |

Another problem I have is I can see the most innocent scenario happening and think "that would be a good start for a scene."

When I tell people that I work in the porn biz they immediately conclude that I must be an actor. People seem to lack the realization that porn is a huge industry and that there's a lot more to it than acting and filming. I've not come across anyone yet though that's shared their fantasies with me haha

I don't get therapist variety questions - but if I had a dime everytime someone asked me, "Need someone to hold the lighting steady?" - I'd have retired long ago.

I have a friend that owns a porn store and guys grab the biggest dildos and ask her all the time if she likes this one as if she sticks every dildo in the store in her pussy every chance she gets LOL
