Prepaid debit cards for online purchases?
 

Looks like I've been had by PayPower, those mother fuckers!!! :mad::mad::mad:

I'm trying to order parts for my car and the one site isn't secure, as well they are in Australia (they make it there, so can't find it here). I've called the guy and left messages, but he asks that I place the order online if possible, but doesn't take Amex and I don't want to use my bank debit card.

So I called PayPower (they sell at the the convenient store by my house) and they said "no problem, you can make purchases anywhere Visa is taken, even online." I said "so it's no problem to order online right?" and she replied "not a problem."

Turns out IT IS!!! I even tried to buy something on Amazon and the shit doesn't work. I'm so frustrated I have this $100 prepaid card now and can't use it.

Anyone have luck with these prepaid cards or how to buy something online with one, or something similar?

I have never had an issue buying online with a prepaid card. Most of them you need to register before you can make online purchases, so you might want to see if the card you are using requires that first.

Yeah, did that and called to confirm. They said the card can be used with any vendor like PayPal, not with merchants directly. WTF is the point then? I'm so flipping annoyed today :disgust
