Do you change model names when you buy content?

Curious if you use the name that is provided on model release/2257 docs as the models name or do you change it to something else before publishing to web?

We talk it over with the model and ask if there's a name she'd prefer to be used. Since the model's legal name is required on the docs...we protect her identity by using another name.

I'm just talking of buying from a content barn.

I'd probably still change the names.

There's enough f'ing wackos out there to worry about and any little bit we can do to help protect a model's real identity can only be a good thing.

When my wife and I had our phone sex company years ago, any content we bought, be it from Ounique, Amazing Content (always great material from Stefan :thumbsup), Matrix who any of the other content companies that have gone belly-up, we always made up fictional names for the models once we put them up on the sites.

I always thought it was hilarious when other phone sex sites claimed they used real pictures of their girls (to the consumer), and then used pics of established porn stars and kept the same name.

Regardless, unless you're trying to bank on an already established name, I would make up your own.

Make sure the release has a provision for that. You could invalidate it. It must also then be added as an alias & further cross referenced.

Our license says to use the name given in the model release cause that's the one she agreed to.

And why lose seo traffic any ways?

Why do you think Freeones works?

Why would you. Of course not using the model's real name as someone above apparently misunderstood your question.
But if a model, especially a "known" model or porn star, was all of a sudden re-named, that would sort of be silly.
As was mentioned about SEO and name search traffic, why would you "go back to square one"?
